Capcom has added yet another post-launch update to Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, adding in new quests, Co-Op quests, and mo🎀re importantly — three new monsties. All of the new monsties are powerful Deviant versions: Soulsꦦeer Mizutsune, Elderfrost Gammoth, and Oroshi Kirin.

For everything you need to know about how and where to get their eggs, we've got a full guide right here. Surprisingly, the method is not the same for all three, so get ready to mix things up a little.

Where To Find Soulseer Mizutsune and Elderfrost Gammoth Eggs

Two new Co-Op Expedition quests have been added where you can battle Soulseer Mizutsune and Elderfrost Gammoth — and snatch up their eggs while you're at it.

These new multiplayer quests can be accessed from the Multiplayer Option on the Quest Board once you have downloaded the new update. (Explore) Ice Eggs is where you will find Elderfrost Gammoth, and (Explore): Water Eggs is where you'll find Soulseer Mizutsune.

To take part, you'll either need to join someone else's quest room, in which case you don't need a ticket, or you will have to supply a ticket to create your own quest room. If you do decide to create your own quest room, you can force-start the quest from the main menu without waiting for another player, in which case the game will supply an AI partner.

We recommend using rare egg-enhancing Prayers and Charms before setting out on one of these expedition quests.

How to Get Expedition Tickets

You can get tickets in a couple of different ways. They can be found in treasure chests in Co-Op quests, or you can buy them from the Melynx Inc. Vendor. There are three types of tickets, and naturally, the rarer the ticket, the higher the chance of finding rare eggs or eggs with rare genes during the quest.

Where To Find Oroshi Kirin Eggs

Oroshi Kirin has been added into the game in a new Rank 8 singleplayer quest called Ice Phantom.

Accepting this quest from the Quest♛ Board will spawn a new High-Rank Subquest Den in Loloska Forest at the location shown below.

This makes claiming an Oroshi Kirin egg a little bit harder, as the chance of getting this egg from the nest after beating the monster is considerably lower. You might have to repeat this quest a few times before you get the new egg, but the upside is that you don't have to spend tickets each time to do so.
