With 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Hunter World resting at the top of Capcom's bestseller list, many have speculated of a possible port to Nintendo's hybrid Switch console. More graphically 🌌demanding games have made the transitio𓄧n, so it's only a matter of time...right? According to Capcom, that won't be happening, but the company isn't going to leave Nintendo's platform behind.
At its recent shareholder meeting, Capcom was quick to shoot down hopes of World getting a belated port to the Switch. I suppose you can never say never, but the company is not currently dedicating time to that project. What it is doing, however, is concocting some kind of new 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Hunter experience for the console.
When asked about what the publisher's plans were for Monster Hunter on the Switch, Capcom stated it would be creating a game for "junior and senior high school students." It was quick to note that this does not mean the game cannot be enjoyed by older players, but that it likely won't be a core Monster Hunter game like many are asking for.
What form will this game take? Capcom seems to have done reasonably well with its 3DS spin-off Monster Hunter: Stories. The company also reported that "around 80%" of its game sales come from digital storefronts, which is a fairly large increase from years past. So we'll probably see a Stories-Es♐que game be exclusive to the eShop at a lower price point.
Maybe that isn't the kind of Monster Hunter news you want to hear for the Switch, but there really isn't anything Capcom can do with the current hardware. For what the Switch is, the device is an impressive use of older technology. That you can seamlessly transition from portable to docked and back again is pretty magical. That doesn't mean the console is capable enough of supporting what Capcom wants from the main Monster Hunter series anymore.
Until we know more about this side project, we'll just have to hope Nintendo reveals its hand at the future of the Switch sooner, rather than later. That would do a lot to assuage publishers to porting/creating more games o༒n th💧e device.
