Summary

  • Yesterday's PlayStation Network outage came at a bad time for Monster Hunter fans trying to play Wilds' open beta.
  • In response, Capcom has announced that it's considering adding 24 hours onto the beta in the future.
  • This is especially wild considering how long the beta is already running for before Wilds launches later this month.

h🦩as announced that it might extend ' second open beta by 24 hours to make up for the time lost during yesterday's 20-hour Network outage.

Considering how important having an internet connection is for modern gaming (even for games that don't have online modes!), yesterday's 20-hour PlayStation Network outℱage would have been a pain at pretty much any time. While it was bad for everyoneꦑ, I can bet that it was particularly annoying for ♉fans.

Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Could Be Extended By A Day Due To PSN Issues

Capcom was clearly aware of the issues that a big chunk of Monster Hunter Wilds' playerbase was facing yesterday, . While the first tweet was really jಌust a reminder to everyone that they could jump back into the Wilds open beta after the issues had been resolved, things did get more interesting after that.

Over on the official Monster Hunter Twitter, . To make up for the time 𒉰that PS5 players lost during🐻 the second open beta (something that's really not Capcom's fault), it's considering running the beta for another day at a "future date".

To account for reduced OBT2 play time due to the 🌞outage, we are considering running OBT2 for a🍃n additional 24 hours at a future date.

The plans don't quite seem concrete yet and we have no idea currently if it's just the PS5 beta that's being extended, but it does seem like players will get more time with Monster Hunter Wilds in the near future. That's pretty wild (pun intended) considering how long the open beta is run🧜ning for a♊cross two separate sets of dates.
