The Azure Rathalos can be found in the Ancient Forest and Elder’s Recess and it has been known to attack other fearsome monsters. The Head is its weakest point, but its Wings and Tail are also a good place to attack this Flying Wyvern.
The best way to defeat it is by studying its patterns, as well as equipping yourself with healing, Flash Pods, and Flash Bugs.

- Susceptible Ailments: Somewhat Sleep, Paralysis, and Stun
- Weak Body Parts: Head, and somewhat Wings and Tail

Make sure to dodge the red explosive balls and be wary if you see this monster is about to hit them. Also, if it starts to shake you need to run as this means it is about to shootﷺ out damage-inflicting steam.

You can use them once it is airborne to drop it to the ground so you can deal a slew of damage. Once it heads back to its lair you want to switch to Barrel Bombs and try to lure it out as its tornadoes make﷽ it into a death trap for players.

- Susceptible Ailments: Poison and Blast, and somewhat Stun

The tricky part about this monster is that it can adapt as it can make itself resistant to Thunder and Ice elements as the fight goes on. Your best bet is to use bladed or ranged weapons, as well as Dung Pods to keep other monsters out of the area.

You will want to watch out for its Exploding Pods and Scales that it scatters around the area. The best plan of attack is to aim for the Legs to knock it down, then focus on its Chin and Tail where its scale-generating organs lie.

Many players recommend using a Flash Pod to knock him to the ground before he signals a Supernova, or use a Crystalburst to interrupt this attack. The best weapons to use are those with Elderseal capabilities and if Lunastra is in the same area it is i꧅n your best interest to keep them apart.

It is best if you have Heat Guard or bring Cool Drinks for this fight to help regula💫te your body temperature.
