One such creature is the Bristly Crake. This tiny bird is very rare and capturing one is necessary to obtain the Bristles For All achievement. Once captured, this adorable little bird can be displayed in your home back at Astera like all the other forms of endemic life that you've captured during your hunts.
Where To Find The Bristly Crake
The Bristly Crake can spawn in on𝔉e of three locations in🤡 Monster Hunter World:
- In the Rotten Vale, it may appear in areas three, four, five, or 15.
- In the Elder's Recess, it may appear in area five or area 11.
- In the Guiding Lands, it may appear in area 12 or area 14.
It is possible, if not likely, that there will be no Bristly Crake at all when you spawn into a location. In the case of💦 this event, you will have to exit the location and head back to Astera in order to start again.
Perhaps the fastest method to find a Bristly Crake is the fol💛lowing:

Head to the Rotten Vale and make sure that you equip your Ghillie Mantle. The Bristly Crake is very prone to fly away at any glimpse of you and this mantle will stop you from being seen.
- The Ghillie Mantle will also stop your Palico from being seen. You do not need to tell your Palico to wait while you hunt for the Bristly Crake.
- From the first encampment, head to the left and hug the wall - there will be a low gap that you can crawl under that leads south - head through the gap.

There will be a Mosswine in this area. If the Bristly Crake has spawned, it will be riding the Mosswine.
- If it spawned, get your Capture Net out and bag it!
- If it did not spawn, you can look for the other Mosswine found in area 15 above the fishing pond. Alternatively, quickly exit the map and re-enter to try again. Eventually, you should find the Crake.
Note that while the Bristly Crake is found riding a Mosswine in the Rotten Vale, it rides different creatures in the other biomes. In the Elder's Recess, it rides a Gastodon and in the Guiding Lands, it rides a Soldier Helmcrab. Make sure you're looking for these creatures if you are hunting for the Crake.
When you have captured the Bristly Crake, you will unlock the Bristles For All medal for your current profile, along with the achievement or trophy if you haven't before.
