A new trailer for has given us a very brief glimpse at Homelander, including showing off his two fatalities and letting us hear his voice for the first time. No, we're not sure if it's Antony Starr, either.

Although the original Mortal Kombat characters who were offered in Mortal Kombat 1's first Kombat Pack haven't been the most exciting (and were even seemingly cut frℱom the launch roster), the third-party fighters like Peacemaker and ꦛOmni-Man have been a big hit. As great as those two were, though, there's one that has easily stood out as the most anticipated - 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Homelander from The Boys.

Ever since the first Kombat Pack was revealed, Homelander has been the most talked-about character, although not always for the best reasons, as it's long been suggested that Antony Starr wouldn't be returning for the role. This controversy, along with how popular The Boys has been in recent years, has had fans patiently w🌄aiting for his full gameplay reveal and release date.

Here's Our First Proper Glimpse At Homelander In Mortal Kombat 1

Following a recent tease from Ed Boon on Twitter that gave us our first look at Homelander in action (which some fans weren't all that happy with), we've finally been given another look (and listen!) at the upcoming guest fighter for Mortal Kombat 1. The very short trailer was shared at CCXP Mexico and .

Although we don't get to see what Homelander actually looks like during gameplay, we do see a ton of references to The Boys within the trailer. The first is during his outro, which shows him sipping on a little bottle of milk just like he does in the show. And yes, it's just as unnerving here as it was there.

One of the best details of the trailer is that, before selecting Homelander on the select screen, he's shown creepily posing for the cameras. Very in-character.

We then get the reveal of what everybody's been waiting for - Homelander's voice. We only get a few lines from him and it's said with a menacing snarl, but it doesn't quite sound like Antony Starr, so it seems like the rumours were true that he isn't returning for the character and has someone imitating his voice.

After that, we get a few quick shots that reveal that Homelander's Fatalities will be, unsurprisingly, references to The Boys. The first has him blowing a hole through someone's head, while the other shows him throwing someone into the sky and into an airplane, which is something that players have predicted would be the case for a while now.

When Does Homelander Release?

Homelander on the select screen in Mortal Kombat 1.

The trailer sadly doesn't reveal when Homelander is going to be coming to Mortal Kombat 1, but considering the YouTube description points out that the next season of The Boys releases in July, it seems likely that NetherRealm is going to be aiming for the same timeframe. That means we're probably a month or two out until he's added to Mortal Kombat 1.
