's campaign mode features surprise cameos from dark alternate versions of some of X's most divisive characters.

You might think that Mortal Kombat 1's story mode would just be focusing on its playable roster of reimagined characters from across the series' various eras, but it actually has a surprising amount of cameo appearances too, ranging from small background characters that appeared in trailers like Khameleon to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:some fighters h🦹aving two different i꧒dentities. There's one cameo that has a lot more of an impact on the game, however, and features some characters that modern Mortal Kombat fans will be very happy to see.

I'm about to share some minor spoilers for the game's final chapter, so if you've not finished Mortal Kombat 1, then now is your chance to turn away and run for the hills.

Mortal Kombat 1's Kombat Kids.

In the game's final chapter, titled Armageddon, there's an all-out war between two characters, who each bring their own army composed of warriors from multiple different timelines. It's a bit like that scene in Avengers: Endgame, only with multiple versions of Johnny Cage going out to kick some ass.

This chapter is also unique as it lets you pick your own character to make your way up the Armageddon pyramid and fight a bunch of different multiversal versions of characters. Although who you actually fight is randomised, some specific characters will appear in cutscenes every time, including the surprise cameos I'm about to spoil. Last chance to stop looking.

Towards the end of the pyramid climb, whichever character you pick is attacked by four armoured warriors who turn out to be Mortal Kombat X's infamous Kombat Kids, Takeda Takahashi, Jacqui Briggs, Kung Jin, and Cassie Cage, who all look great with an evil makeover. Their cameo is one of the longer cutscenes of the chapter but they still end up all getting killed by another version of Kitana, who decapitates Cassie Cage and lets her head roll next to your feet, something that's especially weird if you play Johnny Cage like I did.

It's clear that this is supposed to be one of the game's bigger cameos here as it's quite a long cutscene compared to the rest of the chapter, but what's even more interesting is that there's actually an alternate version of the Kombat Kids' introduction here. , there's a different version of their cutscene within the game's files, which goes to show that it's a more notable cameo in a chapter full of them.
