Out of the dozens of memorable characters on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mortal Kombat's ros🧜ter, Scorpion stands out as perhaps the most iconic of them all. As one of the two original ninjas, his look and catchphrase are nearly synonymous with the series. His varied abilities make him unique and are regularly on full display during combat.
To celebrate the character's varied skillset, the following list will detail his ten best special attacks, based on utility in gameplay and stylishness. After all, a good special move is worthless if it does not look coಞol. Hopefully, we will see some of these in the new live-action , set to come out in January 2021.
10 Air Throw
This move goes back to Mortal Kombat II and doesn't involve any of his Netherrealm powers. Scorpion simply grabs the opponent in mid-air and throws them over his back. While it may be pragmatic, it certainly won't wow a crowd of onlookers. In real life, an opponent won't feel so much hurt as they would be mildly inconvenienced from being tossed to the other side of a room. A simple punch probably hurts mor🥃e.
9 Leg Takedown 𒅌 🎃
Leg Takedown is more useful 😼in the recent games, especially as a combo finisher, but still doesn't have the same pizzazz of the hiဣgher ranked moves. To its credit, it adds some significant damage to a flurry of hits.
The character slides his 🍸feet in between his opponent's and twists them so the enemy falls to the ground. Hanzo Hasashi probably mastered this one ages before his clan was killed and he swore an oath of vengeance. Good to see some of that training still counts even after obtaining otherworldly abilities.
8 Hellfire
Hellfire feels more like a cool magician's trick than a combat move. The yellow-themes ninja summons flames which engulf the opponent temporarily. It is unblockable and a good way to damage an especially defensive opponent. In real life, igniting someone out of the blue would immediately end the match. No way a combatant could continue throwing punches after suffering such intense burns. Fortunately for them, this is Mortal Kombat, where most rounds end with the loser's brutal execution only f𝓀or them to show up later without a scratch.
7 💖 Demon Dash
This move from Mortal Kombat 11 is a quick and surefire way to perplex an opponent. Scorpion quickly whips around the enemy and grabs the back of their neck. While the victim is in hand, a ball of flame materializes and eventually bursts. The design of the maneuver makes it feel incrediblꦑe to use. One sees the anti-hero disappear in flames while his skeleton is on the ꧅battlefield for a split-second, only to see him emerge on the other side of the screen.
6 ꧋ Teleport Punch
This classic move dates back to the series' 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:premiere entry, and only looks cooler as the entries iterate on the simple concept. In the 1992 arcade classic, the teleport just has an image of the character stay in place for a brief moment while an attack ꧑comes from the other side.
Later entries added some flames. It makes one wonder hoꦇw it feels to teleport from a first-person perspective, and if Scorpion feels anything. If anybody ever becomes a hellspawn, we hope they tell us how it feels.
5 ꦬ Backflip Kick
There's nothing fun about getting kicked in the jaw. Now imagine said kick c🌳oming from a backflip. And did we mention the feet are on fire when they connect? It wasn't good enough for Scorpion to simply kick them, a move which would no doubt shatter most people's facial bones and cause lifelo🌌ng injury, but he had to add some of his hellspawn abilities into the mix. One has to wonder how useful the somersault would be in a real life battle, but it doesn't matter when it looks so cool.
4 ꦆ Minion Grab ꧟
This move from Mortal Kombat X brings one of Scorpions buddies into the fray. Upon inputting t🍰he command, a creature from the Netherrealm springs from the ground and holds the opponent in place, giving the ninja an opportunity to land a hit. It is a solid way to get the drop on an opponent. They'll be so focused on the character's movement, they won't expect an abomination coming out of nowhere and latching themselves onto their legs.
3 🀅 Demon Breath
You know how bad breath is hyperbolized? Well MK is not kidding when they say scorpion breওathes fire. With Demon Breath, the hellspawn whips his mask off for a brief moment and shoots flames from his face. What better way to terrify an opponent than by revealing a flaming skull? We're surprised it doesn't end the match right there as the enemy goes running for the hills. It must make face to face conversations awfully intimidating as well.
2 ⛎ Demon Slam
Demon Slam from MK 11 is as stylish as it gets for Scorpion. It was not enough for the character to simply grab somebody out of the air and throw them to the ground. After pinning them down, the character takes out his sword and stabs the victim through the back without even giving them a chance to tap out. Is that even allowed? In these deadly tournaments, there are no rules. The animation is also quite long, forcing the other player to slowly endure the humiliat🔯ion.
1 Spear
Spear is not only Scorpion's most iconic move, it is perhaps the most recognizable special attack from the whole series. Even those who never went to an arcade or touched the game know where the phrase 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:"get over here" comes from. Most people under thirty probably spent many recesses yelling the phrase at their friends while the other pretended to be Sub-Zero. Nothing feels better tha♑𓆏n landing the attack, drawing the enemy in, and delivering a free hit or combo while they are stunned.
