Shao Kahn's most loyal soldier, Tarkatan General and Mileena's love interest (according to Johnny Cage), Baraka is a ferocious, bloodthirsty cannibal known for his hideous appearance and mean blades that slice opponents like knives through butter. His design comes from Nosferatu and Marvel's Wolverine.
Baraka is made for advanced players, patient tacticians rather than button mashers. If timed correctly, the Flying Shard can give players a window to get up close and juggle the opponent🌺, ending with Chop Chop Blades for maximum damage🌜. Baraka's main weakness is an opponent who can keep the distance well.

Hollywood action star, Johnny Cage, joined the tournament to prove that he's more than just a pretty face. So far, he has done a pretty good job of defending the Earth alongside his own daughter, Cassie Cage. He was designed to be a comi𝔍c relief character but has evolved to a more mature character in later titles.
What could be more iconic than his "nꦺut punch"? Johnny is a good mid-range fighter, relying on normal strings than special attacks (Shadow Kick is a great surprise but once punished, can turn the tide). Just like Liu Kang, Johnny's moveset hasn't changed much and he's very easy to 🧸predict.

The rebellious daughter of Shao Kahn, Kitana led the charge alongside other Earthrealm warriors to free the realm from Outworld. Like Jade (her best friend) and Mileena, Kitana was originally a palette swap, and was actually 45 years old in Mortal Kombat II (debut).
