Weapons are a fundamental part of the Soulslike genre, and that remains true in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mortal Shell. The way weapons are handled in Morta🥀l Shell is a ta🐟d different, but overall stay close to what inspired it.
What sets the weapons apart from other titles is the upgrade system and how you can learn new abilities that are essential in combat. These abilities can do a range of things, from a devastating spin attack to freezing every enemy in a small area and so much more. There are some fascinating weapo𒁏ns in Mortal Shell, and they are made 🌟even better with the added layer of skills.
Updated December 18, 2021 by Seth Parmer: Mortal Shell's "The Virtuous Cycle" DLC added a new weapon and Shell into the game, which is now reflected in the list, along with its abilities. We also made minor adjustments to some of the other weapons where needed.
7 H♋allowed ♊Sword
The Hallowed Sword is the first weapon players will get a hold of as it is acquired in the game's tutorial area. This sword offers a balanced gameplay style as it is fast and deals a decent amount of damage. It also has a good range and shines well with singled-out enemies. (x5 or x10 on New Game +).
The Hallowed Swords' two abilities are Mechanical Spike and Molten spike: Mechanical Spike will activate a spike from beneath the sword, and the character will lunge forward, dealing severe damage. Molten Spike will trigger a searing spike from beneath the blade, and the character will jump ahead and cause burn damage along with significant damage. These abilities are also best used on individual enemies.
6 ཧ 𝓰 Smoldering Mace
The Smoldering Mace is an incredibly far-reaching weapon that can deal mass amounts of damage but can take a while to charge up attacks. The weapon is excellent with crowd control due to its wide swings. You can also increase the Smoldering Mace's damage with Quenching Acid (x5 or x10 on New Game +).
The Smoldering Mace has two abilities, Awakened Stone and Foundry Stone: Awakened Stone, when triggered, will make your character hit the ground with the mace, causing signif🌸icant damage along with burn damage in a small area. Foundry Stone imbues the mace in flames and applies burn damage to enemies with each strike. These abilities are also excellent for multiple enemy situations.
5 🌠 Hammer 🐲And Chisel
The Hammer and Chisel is one of the more unique weapons in Mortal Shell as it deals very little damage but can poison enemies instead. It is the fastest weapon in the game and uses very little stamina when swung. Even with its low damage output, the Hammer and Chisel can often stun-lock enemies and stagger them. You can also increase the Hammer and Chisel's damage with Quenching Acid (x5 or x10 on New Game +).
The Hammer and Chisel's two abilities are Perfused Censer and Foul Censer: Perfused Censer has your character spin forward, providing mass damage to every enemy in the area. Fouls Censer turns the Hammer and Chisel into a ranged weapon by launching the chisel with the hammer. The first hit deals tons of damage.
4 Martyr's Blade
The Martyr's Blade deals the most significant damage in the game but is also the slowest weapon in the game. The blade's reach is the longest, making it easier when used on singled-out targets. You can also increase the Martyr's Blade's damage with Quenching Acid (x5 or x10 on New Game +).
The Martyr's Blade has two abilities, Petrified Winterglass and Radiant Winterglass: Petrified Winterglass imbues the blade with ice and freezes enemies struck with it. Radiant Winterglass causes the player to leap into the air and plunge the blade into the ground, causing enemies to get frozen in the area. While the Martyr's Blade, on its own, shines in one-on-one combat, its abilities benefit significantly from groups of enemies.
3 Tarnished Seal 𝐆
The꧒ seal will glow red when an oncoming attack is unparryable and can even receive upgrades li⛄ke the main-hand weapons.
The Tarnished Seal has three abilities, Healing, Inflamed, and Knotted: Healing allows you to spend one resolve on your next successful riposte, which empowers the seal and heals you. Inflamed will stick larva on the next enemy you successfully parry, causing it to explode a few seconds later, dealing mass damage to the enemy you struck and others in the area. K🃏notted w𝓀ill allow you to freeze time on the next successful riposte, which will enable you to attack enemies without them being able to retaliate.
2 ꦿ Ballistazooka
The Ballistazooka is the only ranged weapon in Mortal Shell and can bꦿe obtained by purchasing Tools from Vlas, the merchant, at Fallg🎉rim Tower for 8,000 Tar and then going to the workbench to craft it.
The Ballistazooka has no upgrades or abilities, but it does fire Large Bolts, which dish out tons of damage to enemies (and even bosses). The downside to the Ballistazooka is that it takes a while to reload it after firing off one of its Large Bolts. It's best to use the Ballistazooka on the more challenging enemies after taking out all the smaller ones with your main-hand weapon.
1 Axatana
The Axatana is a unique weapon found in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mortal Shell's The Virtuous Cycle DLC and is also one of the stronger, if not the strongest, weapons in the game. Wh🔯at makes this weapon so special iไs how it can transform from fast-striking dual blades to a heavy-hitting axe in a matter of seconds.
The Axatana has two abilities Dash Strike (Katana) and Axe Flurry (Axe): While in dual-blade mode, the Axatana can perform a Dash Strike, allowing you to zone in on a target from medium range, excellent for single-target engagements. While in the axe mode, the Axatana can perform an Axe Flurry, a barrage of axe swings that can be deadly against groups of enemies. Furthermore, due to the weapon's flexibility, it can get paired with any Shell you find in the game, making it one of a kind.
