YouTuber MrBeast is recreating the sets from Squid Game and plans on holding a 456 person competition once he's done.

Squid Game has quickly become a worldwide phenomenon beyond the wildest dreams of anyone who had a hand in creating it. Netflix obviously had faith in the show or it wouldn't have added it to its streaming service. However, even its bosses couldn't have anticipated Squid Game being watched by more than 111 million hou𝔉seholds in its first 28 days.

However, the most elaborate nod to the show we have seen so far has to belong to MrBeast. The YouTuber is building sets inspired by the show, and as you can see in the tweets below, they are incredibly el𒈔aborate.

“The Squid Game sets are coming together! Wish the 456 contestants good luck next week,” MrBeast tweeted last week. That's right, these sets aren't just for show. MrBeast actually plans on holding a Squid Game competition complete with 456 people, just like in the show. When asked if those who fail will die, MrBeast replies “no comment”, something to keep an eye on.

MrBeast's tweets initially implied his take on Squid Game would be going down at some point this week. However, an update on how the project is going suggests it could be a little longer. The YouTuber shared a short clip of what appears to be a very large team creating what looks like the set for Red Light Green Light. In the tweet, MrBeast admits his Squid Game vision is costing a little more than he expected.

You don't need to wait for MrBeast to be finished to experience more Squid Game, nor do you need to be one of the 456 people he selects to compete.
