Commander is one of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering formats that has gained a lot of popularity in recent years, even though it was not considered a competitive format when it first appeared. However, du♍e to how popular it has become within the MTG community, Wizards of the Coast have started creating special sets with cards catered to this format, called Commander Legends.

Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate is the most recent set to focus on the format, bringing plenty of new cards and even some new mechanics. The only caveat is that all of these cards will only be legal in the Commander, Legacy and Vintage formats. So, if you're a fan of artifacts and any of those formats, here are some of the strongest artifact cards that this set has to offer.

8 💃 Rug Of Smothering 🔯

Magic: The Gathering Rug of Smothering full card with background

This rather interesting Construct artifact creature is a 1/3 with flying that costs three generic mana. The main effect that it gives is that whenever a player casts a spell, they will lose one life for each other spell that they've cast this turn.

This could be a very interesting sideboard card, giving you an answer either to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:aggro decks that like to play a lot of creatures, or control decks that focus on cheap disruptive spells. Your opponents will think twice about ꦫplaying multiple spells in the same turn when this card is in play.

7 Basilisk Collar ꦅ

Magic: The Gathering Basilisk Collar full card with background

Bas🦋ilisk Collar is an๊ artifact Equipment card that costs one generic mana. You need to pay two generic mana in order to equip it, and it will give the equipped creature deathtouch and lifelink.

A rather cheap Equipment card that gives some decent abilities to the equipped creature, Basilisk Collar would best fit an aggro deck. Throw in some other cards that allow you to search your library for Equipment cards and put them into play, add some creatures that get bonuses when using Equipment cards, and you've got yourself a decent deck.

6 💫 𒅌 Blade of Selves

Magic: The Gathering Blade of Selves full card with background

Another Equipment artifact that costs only one ge🌄neric mana to play, and four generic mana to equip it to a creature. It will give the equipped creature the Myriad ability, which states that whenever the equipped creature attacks, for every opponent at the table outside the defending player you get to create a tapped and attacking token of said creature. After combat is over, all tokens created this way will be exiled.

A rather unique card, it's one that can only be played in multiplayer formats such as Commander Two-Headed Giant. Outside of these formats the Myriad ability will do absolutely nothing, making this a completely pointless card.

5 𒊎 Frayinౠg Line

Magic: The Gathering Frayling Line full card with background

A four generic mana artifact, Fraying Line allows you to put a Rope counter on a creature you control when it enters the battlefield. Afterwards, during each player's upkeep, that player can pay two generic mana. Whenever they do, they get to put another Rope counter on a creature that is under their control. If the player refuses to do so, you exile Fraying Line and all creatures that don't have a Rope counter on them. Afterward, you also remove all Rope counters from all creatures.

A rather weird wiper, Fraying Line will mostly be relegated to control decks. Your best play is to simply refuse the effect during yꦗour upkeep, thus wiping the board. Keep in mind that your opponent will have the opportunity to protect a single creature from this effect, if they pay the two generic mana on their upkeep.

4 Mighty Servant Of Leuk-o 🍨

Magic: The Gathering MIght Servant of Leuk-o full card with background

An artifact Vehicle that costs three generic mana with a crew cost of four generic mana. It has trample and the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ward ability, that requires your opponent to discard a card in order to get past it. Whenever this Vehicle becomes🔯 crewed for the first time during a turn, if it was crewed by exactly two creatures, it allows you to draw two cards whenever it deals combat damage to a player.

While not the strongest Vehicle around, Mighty Servant of Leuk-o can be quite the menacing presence for a deck that doesn't have a lot of removal.

3 Mirror🐻 Of Life Trappi🐭ng

Magic: The Gathering Mirror of Life Trapping full card with background

This artifact costs four generic mana and it has a rather inte🐷resting effect. Every time a creature ente🅠rs the battlefield, if it was cast, exile it; then you will return all other permanent cards that were exiled by Mirror of Life Trapping to the battlefield under the control of their owners.

Essentially, what this card does is put a one-turn delay on every creature that enters the battlefield. Even though you can use this on your own creatures to double their "enter the battlefield" effects,✃ this card will probably see play in control decks that want to slow down their opponent as much as possibleꩵ.

2 🐼Vexing Puzzlebox

Magic: The Gathering Vexing Puzzlebox full card with background

An artifact that costs three generic mana to put into play, Vexing Puzzlebox states that whenever you roll one or more dice, you get to put a number of charge counters on this card equal to the result. It has two tap effects, the first of which adds one mana of any color and allows you to r𓆏oll a d20. To activate the second tap effect, you will also have to remove 100 charge counters from Vexing Puzzlebox. Afterward, you can search your library for an artifact card and put it into play.

On its own, this card would be extremely slow, since getting to 100 charge counters by rolling a d20 every turn could take a pretty long time. It would best be played in a control deck that also uses other cards that make you roll d20's, allowing you to gain those charge counters faster.

1 🐼 Nautiloid Ship

Magic: The Gathering Nautiloid Ship full card with background

This space monstrosity-looking artifact Vehicle costs four generic mana to put into play, and requires Crew three in order to turn it into a 5/5 creature. It has flying, and when it enters the battlefield you can exile target player's graveyard. Whenever Nautiloid Ship manages to deal combat damage to a player, you can put any creature card that was exiled by Nautiloid Ship into play under your control.

While it is rather interesting to see a reanimate effect attached to a Vehicle artifact, the fact that it has no forms of protection makes it very susceptible to removal sp🦩ells. Your best bet is to hold onto this card and play it after your opponent has used up some of his removal spells on y🍃our other creatures.
