168澳洲幸运5开奖网:MultiVersus is back from the dead, with its full launch finally announced𒊎. This comes after its early access period ended last summer, taking the game offline for months.
MultiVersus will go online again on May 28, this time wi🐻th a full launch. This roughly is in keeping with the release window we were 💯previously given of "early 2024", suggesting the development of MultiVersus has mostly stuck to its schedule.
We didn't get many new details on the game, but it was confirmed that the full launch will include a PvE mode and some new stages. We're also told that there will be some "really exciting" new characters, but they weren't revealed here. Pre-existing fighters are getting new attacks too, which we get a brief look at in the trailer.
"The team has heard your feedback, and we've learned a lot from our open beta [...] We've been working hard on a variety of changes and updates to deliver an improved gameplay experience." - Tony Huynh, Player First Games.
On top of this, the game has moved to Unreal Engine 5, which has improved the visuals. While this hasn't changed the artstyle of MultiVersus at all, it does mean that character models have been overhauled, so they should be an improvement on what we got in the open beta.
MultiVersus initially launched in an open beta on July 19, 2022. It amassed a strong following but was criticised for its lack of ongoing support, as players waited weeks in between updates for new characters. Then, in March 2023, it was suddenly announced that t♚his early access period would come to an unceremonious end in June, with no date set for its return, outside of an early 2024 window.
With very little information to go on, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:some feared that MultiVersus🧔 would never return. However, we now know that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Warner Bros. Discovery has decided to stick with its live service platform fighter, giving Player First Games another stab at it this year. Fans have been incredibly patient, with updates on how development is going being very few and far between as the team worked away. We'll find out if this was worth the wait very soon, but in the meantime, fans are incredibly excited to finally have some news about it after so long.
On the one hand, though, it's not very surprising. Warner Bros. Discovery recently revealed its ongoing gaming plan, and it involves more live servic🍃es that make the most of the various IPs under its belt. Curiously, this was in response to the success of Hogwarts Legacy - a single-player game - and the failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League - a game with live service elements. At the very least, it means there's room for MuliVersus in this ongoing strategy.
MultiVer♔sus will be available on the same platforms as before when it returns, going live on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
