Even though Walter White isn't owned by Warner Bros. and seems like a strange pick for MultiVersus, that hasn't stopped fans () from begging for h♔im to be🐽 added since the game was revealed. With so much excitement around the topic, I had to ask MultiVersus' director, Tony Huynh, about Heisenberg being added to the roster while talking to him about the relaunch.
When asked about Walter White potentially being added to MultiVersus, Huynh explained that third-party characters aren't easy to get added to the game, since they require a working relationship with the IP-owner. Since Player First Games has worked closely with Warner Bros. over the past few years, it's easier to get characters that they own into MultiVersus, but it's not so simple getting anyone outside of the WB stable.
"It’s complicated, but I will personally be pushing as hard as I can to make that happen. Everything that h🍎appens with third parties in general… there are things that players don’t understand, it’s more complicated and it’s not a super straightforward process. So there’s no pr♕omises there but I will personally be trying really hard.”
Despite those difficulties, Huynh is well aware of all the requests for Walter White and said that he will "personally be pushing as hard as I can to make that happen". He then clarified that he can't promise that it's going to happen, but it's still a light in the darkness for anyone hoping for the one who knocks.
