Updated April 2, 2023, by Sean Murray: Portia's ruins can be a dark and mysterious place, so we've tweaked this guide to offer an easier time getting to the important info.
Where Are The Abandoned Ruins?
Entering through the main entrance at Peach Plaza, you will want to head left. There's a large ramp going above the town. This is where you'll find Abandoned Ruins #1. Further up the road is Abandoned Ruins #2, which cannot be unlocked until you complete the Bridge to Amber Island questline.
Aside from the two ruins in town, there are two more that can be found around the world. Each ruin will offer different materials that the other ruin does not provide.
The later game ruins are:
- Desert Abandoned Ruins located in Eufaula Desert.
- Somber Marsh Abandoned Ruins located in Somber Marsh.
How To Get Inside The Abandoned Ruins 1 And 2
You have to pay to gain access to the ruins. The only way in is by paying for a week's worth of access, which is 80 Gols. This might already sound like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:heaps of money to beginner players, but it gets worse later on.
After your first week in Portia, weekly access to Abandoned Ruins #1 costs 200 Gols. On the other hand, weekly access to Abandoned Ruins #2 costs 300 Gols.
How To Earn Money
Commissions are the main way to earn cash. You can find daily commissions on the board in the Commerce Guild building. These ta✅sks ask you toꦺ build things for the townspeople. Completing commissions can take a while due to having to gather materials and craft.
Aside from crafting for commissions, you can craft ran💫dom objects on your own and sell them for a decent price if you have extra materials lying around.
Fishing is another source of income in the game. To fish, you will need to craft a Beginner's Fishing Rod and acquire some bait. Bait is picked up when foraging bushes around the map. To craft a Beginner's Fishing Rod, you need:
- 15 wood.
- One copper bar.
- Two wild cocoons.
Wood is acquired from pick🌞ing up piles of sticks or chopping down trees. Cocoons are found by kicking specific trees.
They need to 🎃be trees with two large trunks instead of one.
Copper is abundant in Abandoned Ruins #1, but since you don't have access to it, you'll have to break large stones around the map.
Fishing can only be done at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:designated fishing locations, where you see multiple fish swimming in a circle togꦰether.
Mining Ore In The Abandoned Ruins
Upon first access, you'll get a Relic Scanner and a jetpack to help you on your journey.
As you're fleshing out the dark caves of the ruin, you'll find yourself stuck in holes you've dug yourself into. That's why the jetpack is handy. On the ot💎her hand, the Relic Scanner helps you find ancient relics that are hidden within all the ruins in the game.
Speaking of relics, these will glow within walls as you scan the area. You will only find pieces of relics, encouraging you to use a Recovery Machine to piece these items back together.
Aside from using this machine, which can only be found in the Research Center at the beginning, you can donate relics to the museum. Complete relics can be gifted to townsfolk, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:increasing your relationship stat🍬us with said 🦩NPC.
Other Materials You Can Find In Ruins #1
Ruins #1 contains stone, sand, soil, tin ore, and copper ore.
All of these materials are needed to continue crafting in My Time at Portia at a relative pace, as opposed to the lower drop rate of breaking stones outside. Every next-level ruin will drop all ore and material the previous ruin dropped, along with one or two new ore.
Data discs can also be found and are used for multiple things. You can sell them for 75 Gols, bring them to the Research Center to learn new blueprints, or use them to complete relic pieces with the Recovery Machine.

Data chips are used to upgrade an NPC character known as Ack. 168澳洲幸运ꦏ5开奖网:Ack⭕ is a helper robot that cannot be accessed un♎til later in the game. They also sell for 250 Gols.
The tape recordings are developers' Easter eggs. You need to haveཧ a🐈 TV in your home to play these recordings, all of which showcase previous games Pathea Games has worked on. These recordings sell for 250 Gols.
