but seemin♈gly still refuse to announce🐬 the existence of Factions.
It might seem a little weird to expect anything major from a day about celebrating the launch of a game, but the wording on a PlayStation Blog had fans hoping for some kind of announcement. During a recent post, PlayStation said, "In addition to the merch below, we will be revealing some all-new content on September 26. Be sure to come back and check it out". In retrospect, it's pretty clear it was on about more merchandise, but fans still got their hopes up.
The main reason why fans are so antsy to hear more from Naughty Dog about The Last of Us is the fact that we're still waiting on some sort of Factions showing, despite it beiℱng semi-conf꧂irmed several times over the past couple of years. Gamers thought it was going to be shown at the most recen🌠t PlayStation Showcase but it, and anything from Naughty Dog at all, was completely absent.
That led fans to believe that news c🧔ould be coming from The Last of Us Day, which has now passed with nothing in the way of an announcement. That Joel statue is prettyꦫ great, at least.
As much as we'd love to see the announcement or confirmation of Factions during The Last of Us Day, we'll be fair and point out that none of the previous celebrations have had anything major announced at them. Instead, they've all been focused on offering new merchandise or announcing the winners of photo contests.
Naughty Dog has promised a "wrap-up note" for The Last of Us Day is coming later today, but do yourselves a favour and don't get your hopes up too much.
