NBA 2K21 is trying to justify that next-gen $70 price tag with a new mode: The City. The mode was revealed for the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions of the game, and 💎puts MyPlayers in a city where they can hone their skills, join an Affiliation, and take on quests for NPCs. That's right, NBA 2K is apparently getting into MMO territory.
2K revealed The City with a blog post and a trailer. The the features in detail. It describes The City as the natural extension of The Park and The Neighborhood. Players will 💯start by having their custom MyPlayer avatar train in Rookieville until they get the fundamentals down. From there, they'll choose one of four Affiliations based on The City's boroughs. North, South, East, and West will all have their own colors and logos for players to sport.
Of course, the city is also full of apparel stores so that players can engage in some customization. Puma, Adidas, Conv𒈔erse, and 🌸other real-world brands have stores in The City.
Finally, for the MMO-iest of all, the People of the City have exclamation points above their heads. Engaging with them will lead to quests that net players unique clothi𝓀ng items. The quests typically amount to challenging games of basketball. New q𝐆uests will be added every few weeks to keep it fresh.
Those looking for alternate game modes, like Triple Threat Online and the new Fire Ball, will find them in The City's different buildings and courts. It all sounds like an ambitious experience, perhaps enough to make players forget about 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:2K21's in-game ads.
