As NBA fans eagerly await some sembla♔nce of “normal” b💯asketball action with the upcoming , 2K fans can at least rejoice in the fact that NBA 2K21 is still moving forward wi🍰th its release,ꦍ as the first cover athlete for this year’s game was announced.
Today, it was revealed that Five-time NBA All-Star and Portland Trail Blaze🌱rs’ point guard, Damian Lillard, w🦩ill be gracing the cover of NBA 2K21. In addition, it was announced that pre-orders for the annually released title will go live on July 2🃏nd.
Te𝔉chnically, Lilla🔯rd will be featured on the cover of NBA 2K21 for the current generation of consoles - including the recently confirmed Switch version o🐻f the gꦐame - while a different athlete on the cover for the PlayStatio🌜n 5 and Xbox Series X versions.
Lillard expressed ex༒citement and gratitude for being selected for the game’s cover, stating, “This is a special moment for me in my NBA career. I’ve been a fan of NBA 2K for years and love how they represent a🌳ll aspects of basketball culture. I’m an avid 2K player, so I’m honored to join the other NBA greats who have been on the cover. More information surrounding NBA 2K21, including its release date, will be released by 2K once pre-orders begin on July 2nd. Hopefully, ✱those details will include a confirmation as to whether or not digital-version PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will be able to upgrade to the next-gen versions for free with Dual Entitlement.
