Netflix’s latest video game to anime adaptation, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dragon’s Dogma, is another solid effort. It shows that their partnered studios know how to convey what makes video games great and how that appeal can be transferred into an anime just like Castlevania and The Witcher.

That said, this first season is not without problems. Even though it’s only seven episodes long, at about twenty-seven minutes apiece, it managed to make a lot of logic and continuity problems. The bottom line is that some of the plot just 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:doesn’t make sense when thought about as if ꦅit was rushed through production. Buckle in because there will be spoilers.

10 Be Prepared

In a wꦗorld knowingly filled with dragons and other monsters, why did Ethan only bring a dagger to the woods? He’s a hunter so he should know there is more out there than just wild game. He really doesn’t have a sword as a backup? For that matter, when the wolves do attack, it’s a little silly to see soldiers gear up like they’re about to fight an army of orcs.

9 Sure, Take Their Food

Why didn’t Ethan or Hannah stop those thieves from taking that family’s food in episode two? One could deduce that they didn’t want to bring them bad luck in the matter, but they could have done something. For a magically imbued warrior with no heart and a literal ethereal being, it’s just 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a bit senseless. To their c😼redit, they do solve🌌 the entire problem by the end.

8 Food Fight

Speaking of solving the problem, the production of the show seems to have a relatively decent budget. The animation may not be up to standards for diehard 2D animation fans but it gets the job done. The one note of price reduction can be seen at 🌱the end of episode two wherein it flashes back to the castle getting raided.

It’s just a bunch of stills and voiceovers, which makes the whole thing seem cheap. Why even do it as a flashback in the first place and would the riots get that unruly that fast? The plot is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a bit too senselessly speedy.

7 Controlling The Cyclops

Screenshots from the Dragon's Dogma anime.

Going backward a bit, how does that duke, or whatever he is, control the Cyclops in episode two? He doesn’t appear to have a device. The only thing keeping the Cyclops at bay is a promise from this ruler to feed him young girls. One, tiny girl for this giant would be like eating a grain of sand to a normal human. It’s hard to believe that the Cyclops would f🌳ollow orders then for a grain of sand.

6 Where Was The Battle Plan?

Screenshots from the Dragon's Dogma anime.

Episode two is filled with questionable content and it isn’t over yet. In the climactic fight with the Cyclops, Hannah enchants 💝Ethan’s blade with a flick of the wrist as a new spell. While cool, it brings in to question what her powers even are. There should have been an entire episode, or a small part of this one, wherein Hannah trains Ethan and shows him what tactical advantages she can provide in a fight. Having a b༒attle plan would go a long way.

5 When Did Hannah Get The Staff

Screenshots from the Dragon's Dogma anime.

From episode two to three, Hannah is just using her magic🧸al bow. Besides enchanting Ethan’s blade that is. In episode four she pulls a staff out of nowhere and starts casting spells on the Hydra. Wait, what? Where did that staff come from and if she could💛 use wizard-like spells, to begin with, why just rely on the bow? Again, there should have been a breakdown of powers in an episode.

4 How Is Lennie Still Alive?

Screenshots from the Dragon's Dogma anime.

Lennie is swallowed whole in the fight against the Hydra early on. One would think she was dead as the anime is very dark. However, somehow she survives in its stomach before getting cut out. It’s never outright said but it appears she is now blind. Really? That’s all the stomach acid of this giant monster did to her? Blinding? It doesn’t 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:make any sense but the somewhat happy ending was a nice change of♋ pace.

3 Theo Killing Elizabeth

Screenshots from the Dragon's Dogma anime.

In episode three, Theo is shown to be a coward. He can’t even muster the strength to save his betrothed from being punished by goblins. That is until the end wherein he magically finds his bloodlust. He is able to singlehandedly strike down an entire platoon of goblins. He doesn’t get scratched and also decides to kill Elizabeth out of the blue. It seemed like a twist for the sake of being a twist and it just 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:didn’t make sense.

2 Balthazar Killing Simon

Screenshots from the Dragon's Dogma anime.

Another character twist that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:didn’t make sense was from Balthazar in ep🌟isode five. Ethan tosses him a coin after the battle 🐼with the Lich and like the snap of two fingers, he is all of a sudden evil.

He kills Simon and just like Theo and Elizabeth, they both die in a tragic twist of fate. What’s with this show repeatin🌞g content?

1 The Dragon’s Defeat

Screenshots from the Dragon's Dogma anime.

The dragon goes down way too easily. How are viewers supposed to believe that one tiny dagger can take it out after just one stab? Even if Ethan hit its heart it should take more damage than that before falling. It would seem like he wanted to die so maybe he really was that weak and sort of forced himself to die. That’s just a theory and in no way really explains 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the senseless ending.
