NetherRealm has laid out their plans to fix the difficulty issues in Mortal Kombat 11’s Towers of Time.
It’s been a bit of a rocky launch for Mortal Kombat 11. While most are praising the game’s refined fighting mechanics and appropriately ludicrous ꦦgore, there have been some that are calling the game’s difficulty a bit steep in the Towers of Time. That’s the place where daily challenges are posted and the best way to accrue in-game currency to unlock more loot in the Krypt.
NetherRealm has heard the cries of th🍨eir fans and are taking action.
"At launch, the difficulty in the Towers of Time was too high, and people felt it was unfair,” wrote community manager Tyler Lansdown following the Kombat Kast podcast . “And unfortunately, that made the proce🌳ss of earning rewards through the Krypt 🐲seem punishingly slow.
"The difficulty of the AI and the aggressiveness of the modifiers i෴n Towers of Time was tuned too high. We’re aware of it and we’ve already taken steps to fi🎶x that."
What those steps will be were detailed in a follow-up post on . In general, ♏the AI’s difficulty was toned down, maximum health was reduced, and the harshness and frequency of the match modifiers were scaled back to give players more of a chance.

On PS4 and Xbox One, the changes will be released in the upcoming patch next week. For PC and Nintendo Switch 🐼players the update is broken into two patches with the bulk of the difficulty changes happening in the initial patch.
In addition to the Temple of Time🐬 difficulty tweaks, rewards are also being boosted to help players get through the Krypt a little faster. As a meaܫns of apology, NetherRealm will also gift every player with 500,000 Koins, 500 Hearts, 1,000 Soul Fragments, and 1,000 Time Krystals once the patch goes live.
The free loot is likely to quell a report that called MK11’s skins a bit of a cash grab, costing $6,440 just to unlock them all in-store. Skins are also purchasable with in-game currency, and this will greatly reduce that dollar amoun💮t.
More changes are coming, accordꦉing to🍷 Landsdown, so expect the Towers of Time to be tweaked even further in the future.
