A by Daybreak Games and Cold Iron Studios suggests that the Aliens game which Cold Iron announced baꩲck in 2018 might end up being an MMO after all.
Cast your mind back to January 2018 and you might recall that Cold Iron Studios 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:announced they were developing an online Aliens game for PC and consoles. Then things got a bit shaky when Cold Iron started ꦆgetting tossed arou🍸nd a bit from studio to studio.
These guys were previously owned by Kabam before being sold to FoxNext Games in 2018. Then Disney came along and acquired Fox the following year, at which point FoxNext Games were passed on to Scopely. But because mobile game publisher Scopely weren't keen on having Cold Iron Studios on board, the latter have now been bought by Daybreak Games. And so here we are!
Not unexpectedly, all that turmoil probably didn't do much for the development of that Aliens game Cold Iron announced 2 years ago.
But now things seem to be getting back on track. All signs are pointing in the general MMO direction, what with both Cold Iron and Daybreak having a significant repertoire of MMOs to their names. The former's founders were at the creative helm of Star Trek Online, City of Heroes, and Neverwinter, while the latter published Lord of the Rings Online, H1Z1, and others.
And it seems both parties are pleased to have each other. Cold Iron co-founder Craꦇig Zinkievich :
Daybreak and Cold Iron share the same passion and long history for delivering action-packed multiplayer games 𝐆for audiences worldwide. In combining our decades of experience developing and launching globally successful multiplayer titles, we’re destined to make great games together.
Daybreak Games CEO Jim Ham echoes this excitement, saying “we are delighted to have Cold Irꦍ💖on Studios join the Daybreak Games family and accelerate our next generation of growth."
At this point, not much more is known besides the fact that Cold Iron still confirm they are indeed working on a , set for both PC and conso😼le, so watch this space.
