Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat is now available on iOS and Android in China, although the team currently has no plans for a western release. Developed by Yunchang Game, Peak of Combat brings the iconic, fast-paced DMC action to mobile devices and managed to reach second place on t🔥he iOS download charts during its debut.
Featuring several familiar faces from the series, full controller support, and “deep participation of the official team of Capcom Devil May Cry,” Peak of Combat seems like a faithful mobile recreation of the beloved series. The game’s launch comes hot on the heels of Street Fighter: Duel, a Capcom game that didn’t find the early succes♛s already seen by DMC: Peak of Combat.
Previously known as Devil May Cry Mobile and then Devil May Cry Pinnacle of Combat, the mobile game has been in development for well over three years. Yunchang Game first acquired the rights from Capcom in 2017, with its first closed beta launching in 2019. Debuting at number two on the charts is a great start, and it’ll be interesting to see how the mobile adaptation fares oꦓver the next few months – and if continued success means an eventual western release.

While touch screen controls might make it hard to replicate the fast-paced DMC action, anyone with an Xbox controller should be able to experience a game that’s surprisingly close to its source material. Early gaಌmeplay videos show off a title that’s remarkably fluid, and I’ll cross my fingers and hope it finds its way west before the end of 2021.
