Yoshi-P said this in an interview with our specialist Gabrielle Castania, revealing that he loves the series just as the fans do. He also says he sees the storytelling potential in another Tactics꧒ game, even after all this time.

&🎃quot;We have a lot of our staff who worked on previous games like Final Fantasy Tactics or Final Fantasy 12, so you’re going to have a ꦦlot of that [Tactics] feel because a lot of the same people are on the team," he says.
He adds that he's "very happy" to hear another Tactics game suggested, because the team are fans of the games themselves. "We love Tactics as well. It’s probably about time that we do a new one."

Still, the fact that project leads over at Square Enix are not only aware of the calls for a sequel but are still fans of the series themselves means we'll probably get a new Tactics game at some point in the future. It will likely just be its own thing, or based on another Final Fantasy game altogether.
