At this point, it really feels like Mario has done everything. He's cured diseases in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dr. Mario, he became an Olympian against the blue blur in 168澳洲幸运5开🔯奖网:Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, he eve𝓡n taℱught us how to type in, well, Mario Teaches Typing.
But there's still a lot that the Italian plumber hasn't done. Except for the delightfully odd 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, it seems that Nintendo has been happy to keep their icon in the ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚsame few genres. So in this arti👍cle, we take a look at some genres that are begging for the jump man to dive in!
10 Grand Theft Auto: Dinohattan (GTA-Style Open World)♓
This always seems like a joke at first. "Why not put Mario in a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Grand Theft Auto game? He'd have a gun and do drugs!" But when you think about it, a grittier Mario world has already been attempted.
In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Mario and Luigi find themselves in a dystopic alternate dimension ruled by President Koopa. The city was called Dinohattan and it was grimy, gross, and gritty. And that'd be a fun world to explore. Yes, the movie isn't great, but the world created within it was fascinating. And wouldn't GTA be more fun if the main antagonist literally turned into a dinosaur?
9 ꦯ Mario vs.🅠 Paper Mario (Traditional 2D Fighter)
Mario and a number of other Nintendo/video game icons have already taken their place in fighting game history with the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros. series. This party fighiting game is incredible and has something for novices and veterans. But what if you wanted something with a bit ✅more depth?
A traditional Mario fighting game would be an absolute blast, but wouldn't it be fun if Nintendo would take characters from two different parts of the Mario universe and have them battle each other like in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Marvel vs. Capcom or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dragon Ball FighterZ with all its Gokus? Classic Mario vs. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Paper Mario would be fascinating, with mirror characters having different abilities based on whether they are paper or not. Plus, pꦗeople would finally get to see classic Paper Mario characters like Count Bleck and Madame Flurrie again. This would be a great way for Nintendo to show fans that they actually care about the Paper Mario games.
8 🍰 Golden Coin (Elden Ring/Soulsborne) ♏
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elden Ring has proven that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Soulsborne games can become more than just critical darlings beloved by the most hardcore gamers. In fact, it seems like Elden Ring is on every gaming platform except for the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch, so let's fill that void.
While most Soulsborne games are known for customization and variety, Mario could easily take the Sekiro route and focus on a more solo journey. In fact, this would be a great way to tell the story of how Mario became Mario! Journeying from Yoshi's Island, Mario would get stronger and eventually find himself within Peach's castle saving her from Bowser for the first time. This would be a unique and interesting way to explore a time in Mario's life that never gets discussed.
7 💦𒀰 Mushroom Kingdom Warriors (Dynasty Warriors)
It seems that Nintendo is becoming more comfrotable taking its classic IPs into uncharted territory. One of the most successful has been 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hyrule Warriors which combines the world of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Legend of Zelda with the gameplay of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dynasty Warriors. So why not do the same with Mario?
Mushroom Kingdom Warriors could be a ton of fun. Most of the main characters in the Mario games are already kicking and punching everyone in Smash Bros. anyway, so why not do the same here? And speaking of Smash, it'd be so cool to see Mario use that gigantic fireball attack and have it actually 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:do some damage to multiple enemies. Every character in the Mario universe kicks butt and it'd be epic to see them do it on a bigger scale.
6 Mario Football League (American ജFootball) ♈
Including the various mini games in Mario Party and💜 events in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Mario has probably participated in over 65 different sports. While he will play soccer in Mario Strikers: Battle League, he has yet not found the time to play American Football.
A football game was actually in development at one point by Retro Studios, but it was eventually cancelled so the team could work on Metroid Prime. While this was obviously the right choice, it's still surprising that Mario has never played football in any form. What's especially weird about this is that there are enemies that are clearly designed to play football like all of the different Chucks - one of them literally punts a football. So with these characters even existing, it seems likely that Mario will eventually get the Madden treatment.
5 Sim M🐷ush𝓀room Kingdom (Sim City)
It seems that every time players have gotten to go to the Mushroom Kingdom, it's been in times of strife. Either a princess has been kidnapped or Bowser is launching some kind of attack to take over. What is the Mushroom Kingdom like in times of peace?
A Sim City-esque game would be the perfect way to explore that. Let's actually see what 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Princess Peach has to do to manage the land that she rules over. While this may sound boring, Sim City and various other simulators have proven that these types of games are incredibly fun and can suck hours out of your life without you even realizing it. The only thing that would make this idea even better would꧑ be if they gave it classic Sim City graphics.
4 ༒ Super Marioidvainia (Metroidvania)
Mario is the king of platformers, there's no question about that. He revolutionized both 2D and 3D platformers with Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario 64. However, there's one classic platforming sub-genre that Mario hasn't tackled: the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Metroidvania.
Popularized by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Metroid and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, the Mario series has shied away from this more complex level design. And it doesn't have to because a lot of the work has already been done. Mario's 2D platforming controls like a dream and there are plenty of power-ups for Mario to utilize in order to reach new areas like the cat suit, tanooki suit, or metal Mario. This could be a really interesting off-shoot for the Mario series to take if it wants to test seasoned fans.
3 Yoshi's Hatchery (Pet Simulator)
People love raising cute things. That's been proven with the likes of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendogs and Tamagotchi. And many video games have given players the chance to raise their cutest creatures with the Chao Garden in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sonic Adventure 2 and Chocobo Breeding in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy series. The Mario series really needs to get🌠 i൲n on this trend.
Specifically, the world needs a game where you raise Yoshis.
Yoshi is one of the most loved animals in all video gamedom. And we'd get to see them be a chubby baby that grows into the adult Yoshi we know and love in Super Mario World and New Super Marios Bros. U. Why not have a game where you do exactly that except you're not constantly being attacked by enemies? Seems like a slam dunk!
2 Super Mario Conquest ☂(Real Time Strategy) ꦉ
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and its expansion proved that Mario has a place in strategy games with its XCOM-style gameplay. It would be really cool to see Nintendo take that even further with a game similar to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Age of Empires or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Advance Wars. Not only could you have some really creative maps like in the Mario Party games, but all o꧟f the Mario characters lend themselves beautifully to seperate armies or factions.
You could easily have a 4 player free-for-all with Mario, Bowser, Peach, and Luigi. Each of them would have different abilities and specialties. Plus, you could make some of those commanding officers really obscure Mario character🌃s like Wart or Mallow.
1 🎀 Lego Mario (Lego) ༺
Literally all of the pieces are there, pun intended. There are over a dozen 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mario-based Lego sets, not to mention the other Nintendo Lego sets that have be🐭en released, so it seems like a relationship between the two companies has already been suc♈cessful. Why not take that final leap into video game cohabitation?
Build a full Lego Mushroom Kingdom and have a bunch of mini figures of all the different Mario characters. They could even add in a Mario Maker type situation where you use bricks to actually build your own Mario level. In fact, it's really surprising that it hasn't happened yet. But it hasn't - and it really needs to because this is a recipe for success.
