Pascal Requires A Scallop & Free Inventory Space

Typically, Pascal shows up after players have discovered their first scallop. Scallops are a type of sea creature that can be found while diving, 🥀and they also happen to be one of the otter's favorite snacks. Find your first scallop, and Pascal sꦛhould appear.

However, there's one other condition that must be met. Players hoping to set eyes on the aquatic NPC should also make sure they have an empty inventory slot. When Pascal shows up for the first time, he gives the player a uni𒈔que item, meaning he simply won't make an appearance for folks withou𓃲t space to put the gift.

An Easy Fix

Thankfully, this doesn't mean Pascal is gone forever! Instead, all you need to do is head to the shore, free up a few inventory slots, then go back into the ocean and find another scallop. Once you've found a scallop and have an open i💖nventory space, Pascal will swim to the su𝄹rface.

It's worth going out of your way to summon this NPC, as he will frequently give you special DIY recipes and other summer-themed content if you're willing to trade hi𒁏m a few scallops. Pascal is limited to one appearance per day, but that's still more than visitors such as Saharah, Daisy Mae, Flick, and CJ.

Summer Update Wave 2

This is only the firs🅠t part of the Summer Update, with more content planned for August. Players are already taking to the ocean and discovering all the new content, yet we can't help but wonder what Nintendo has in store next. Until then, bide your time by befriending Pascal and scouring the bottom of the sea.
