Pokemon has been around for 25 years and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Though the mainline series releases a new generation every few years, there's a collection of spinoff titles that fans wish and dream would get a sequel, or at the very least a remaster/remake.
When 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:New Pokemon Snap was announced and finally released, fans couldn't get over their desires finally becoming reality. That being said, as awesome as the game was, there were still plenty of head-scratching decisions when it came to which Pokemon were featured, and which stood out as obvious exclusions.
8 Mudkip
With the number of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Water-type Pokemon that find themselves in New Pokemon Snap, it is rather odd that Mudkip didn't make the cut. The third-generation Starter does have its final form, Swampert, in the game. It can be found in the River during both the day and the night, but can only be found in the night version of the Jungle.
For those who are big Mudkip fans, you'll have to wait for an update or simply get your fix out of seeing the final form of the adorable pond skipper.
7 Totodile
If this list was based on the launch version of the game, then not a single member from Totodile's evolutionary line would have been in the game. Thankfully the August 2021 update brought with it more than a handful of new Pokemon, with one of them being Feraligatr, Totodile's final form.
The mammoth reptile can be seen in both versions of the River level and is the closest p⛎layers will get to seeing Totodile.
6 Ivysaur
When it comes to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Kanto region Starters, all of them have both their base and final forms in the game, with the only absences being all of the awkward middle forms. Aꦆmong those mid🍸dle forms, Ivysaur stands alone as the only beloved one of the bunch.
Bulbasaur and Grass-type Starters generally get the short end of the stick, so it'd be nice to see a win for them by having Bulbasaur be the only Kanto Starter with its whole evolutionary line in the game.
5 Treecko's Evolutionary Line
We're now getting to the point in the list where entire evolutionary lines were excluded from the game. Treecko may not be the most beloved of the third-generation Starters, but at least Torchic and Mudkip have at least one evolutionary relative in New Pokemon Snap.
It's unclear whether this will be fixed in later updates, but the game has seen the addition of previously absent Pokemon. Most recently, a batch of pocket monsters was added in the update in August of 2021.
4 Oshawott's Evolutionary Line
Treecko was the first forgotten creature, but sadly it wasn't the last. Water-types tend to get a good amount of spotlight in the franchise, so it's rather surprising that Oshawott's entire evolutionary line can't be found at all in New Pokemon Snap.
As a seashell embracing otter, it has an adorable look that morphs into a serious battler when it reaches its final form. The other reason why this is odd is that Oshawott is one of the three Starters featured in 2022's Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
3 ཧ Gen 8 Final Evolutions
With the eighth generation being the most recent to release, it was almost a guarantee that some of the Starters and their evolutions from the ✤Galar region featured in Pokemon Sword & Shield would be in New Pokemon Snap.
Sꦿcorbunny, Grookey, and Sobble can all be seen in the game, but none of their final forms makes an appearance in the entirety of the game.
Now, there's nothing wrong with Starter Pokemon's base forms getting preferential treatment, but, oddly, Cinderace, Inteleon, and Rillaboom are nowhere to be found.
2 ಌ Rowlet/Litten Evolutionary Lines ༺
The Alolan Islands from Pokemon Sun & Moon were home to some adorable and amazing Pokemon, and⛄ that began with the Starters. People immediately fell in love with the Grass-type owl named Rowlet and the Fire-type cat known as Litten.
That's why the Water-type's final form, Primarina, being the only one of the bunch in the game makes no sense. It's not even that the base or final forms aren't featured in New Pokemon Snap, it's that no creature from either Rowlet or Litten's entire evolutionary line was even considered.
1 🗹 Every Gen 6 Starter
It's one thing to exclude a specific type line from a generation or a specific form, but to not include a single Starter from a given generation feels like an oversight at best. Pokemon X & Y are considered the mainline series' low point, but that doesn't mean the Starters from the sixth generation are bad.
Not only are the Grass-type Chespin and Fire-type Fennekin adorable, but the final form of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Water-type Froakie is also extremely popular. Greninja has been featured in both the anime as well as the live-action Pokemon film called Detective Pikachu. It wouldn't be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:surprising if Greninja headlined the next big game upd🐽ate that adds more creatures to thไe roster.
