This week's new releases inclu🍸de an action-packed Shark simulator, a highly-anticipated ꦅremaster, and the first major Amazon Studios game.
Maneater from Tripwire Interactive was revealed at The Game Awards this past December and turned quite a few heads. Like a twisted new version of Ecco the Dolphin, Maneater put the player in the role of a bloodthirsty shark with the goal of creating as much carnage and destruction as possible. Billed as an Action RPG, Maneater will allow the player to explore the ocean, collect upgrades, 🐎and of course, eat lots and lots of people.
Maneater appears to be a game more along the lines of a Goat Simulator rather than a traditional sim, as the Shark wi🐼ll be able to leap between swimming pools, equip armor, and tailwhip torpedos. Reverse-Jaws looks like an absolute blast. Check it out on PC and PS4 this Friday, May 22n🎀d.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered is also on the way to PS4 and PC this Friday. 9 years from its original release, this remaster of the cult classic is one of our most highly-anticipated games of the summer. Once considered a GTA-knock off, the Saints Row series really developed into its own unique brand of potty humor and over-the-top action. The remaster will include all of the crazy c🏅haracter customiz♓ation, outrageous antics, and weapons of "crass" destruction that the series is known for. Check it out on the Epic Store and PS4 this Friday.
Finally, Crucible is a game that's pretty under the radar right now but has the potential to make a big splash. Crucible is the first major titl𒅌e to come out of Amazon's new game publishing arm, Amazon Games, and it seems like pretty unique title.
In Crucible, teams are dropped onto alien planet where they'll compete for resources against other teams, complete objectives, and fight to survive against the planet's most dangerous wildli🧸fe. The game is part moba, part hero shooter, and part battle 🍸royale, and is played from a third-person perspective. Check out the trailer below:
Crucible is a free-to-play game coming to Steam this Wednesday as well as, pre🤡sumably, the Amazon Game Launcher.
