A lot of guides out there will tell you to stick to basic crafting (like linen gloves and shoes) to level up to 200, but there is a better way. Just upgrade your crafting as you progress through the item tiers. We'll explain.

We updated this guide in September 2022 ahead of the Brimstone Sands expansion. A lot has changed in the game and our guide was out of date. There are new, reliable and tested methods of increasing your armoring level efficiently. Getting your Armoring to 200 is hugely important ahead of the new update, as there are endgame items, gear, and especially legendary bags that will require 200.

Armoring Guide 0-100

Starting out in Armoring isn't tricky. You can start crafting basic linen gloves and hand wraps for Linen, Leather, and Iron.

For Linen Gloves, you will need to collect over 400 Fibers, 400 Rawhide, and over 100 Iron ore to be able to craft enough to get 🍨you from 0-20. However, with a combination of Town Boa⭕rd missions and other crafted items, this section is pretty straightforward. Check out these guides on where to find some of these early-game resources:

Town Board, Attributes For Crafting, And Other Tips

• Don't forget about the Town Board! The updated Town Board will randomly assign crafting missions on refreshes. It isn't 100%, but you should check periodically anyway. You will need to produce a crate of armoring supplies and deliver to the Town Board for a big experience boost.
• Stick 100 points into Focus, so you can get that extra salvaging bonus - it's only a small reward on your used resources, but it's worth it!

Leveling Armoring From 50-100

A lot of guides will tell you to stick to cheap crafting materials and Oakflesh Balm all the way to level 200. That is just not worth it. Higher-tier armors are much better valued in terms of exp. Rather than linen gloves, make sateen gloves. Rather than sateen gloves, make silk gloves. Rather than silk gloves, make infused silk gloves.

Although we have mentioned that getting your Armoring to 200 before Brimstone Sands is a good idea, there will be some crafting changes with the new update. This means you will get extra exp for each time you craft a new item. That means an item you haven't crafted before. This further illustrates you should be keeping some variety in your crafting.

There are a few reasons why crafting higher-tier armor iꦐs better than lower-tier armor:

• Every time you refine a material, you have a chance to increase your yield rate. With a decent Weaving skill and some high-tier crossweave, for example, you can turn your linen into exponentially more sateen, and so on.
• You will need significantly fewer secondary resources, i.e rawhide and iron. Leather and Iron will quickly become your chokepoints when you're trying to craft literally thousands upon thousands of linen gloves.
• You will also be able to salvage materials from your crafted items for a return of higher-tier materials, like silk and infused silk.
• Tier 5 reagents are also affordable on the market right now, mostly because so many people are doing frequent elite chest runs.

There is no "quick" method for leveling your Armorin✱g. You can only craft the highest-tier items possible♒ every time.

What Is An Efficient Method For Level 100 Armoring?

You can opt for Tier 3 Rugged Leather Gloves to go from 50-100 Armoring - this only requires Iron, Rugged Leather, and Linen. These are all fairly easy resources to find, and we have included some farming routes for these and other high-level resources below. For 100-150, you will want to opt for Layered Leather Gloves instead.

150-200 Armoring Guide

At 150-200 Armoring, stick to the gloves. You'll now be producing Infused Leather Gloves, that require Infused Leather, Iron, and Linen. Iron and Linen are the same as ever, and you'll need to either purchase these or farm them yourself. Infused Leather is a more time-consuming process that requires the refining of Rawhideᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ into Rugged and so on. This can get mor🍰e expensive.

Running a lot of Expeditions? You can craft armor from the drops you get in the dungeons. For example, Sticky Vines are dropped in the Genesis Expedition and can be used to craft Dryad Armor. These reward great experience but require fewer raw resources. Win-win if you're running them a lot.

Where To Find The Resources You Need For Level 200 Armoring

From level 100+ onwards you want to start looking for Silk Threads and Wirefiber. This will require Harvesting and Weaving skills to match your progress in Armoring.

Really, you're looking for a pretty balanced approach to crafting. You will need elements of all three of ൲these trade skills to make 600 Gear S🐈core armor, anyway.

Best Silkweed Farming Routes

The first route heads through eastern Brightwood. There's a decent path to follow that leads up from the Dryad area in the southeastern corner, where you can also pick up lots of Wyrdwood, too.

This Silkweed route takes you through northern Restless Shore and into Mourningdale.

Best Wirefiber Farming Routes

This route takes you through north Edengrove, on the outskirts of the Spriggan are🌠a. There is plenty of Wirefiber here, but there are also a nꦛumber of high-level mobs that can make this a bit frustrating.

This extended route takes you through Ebonscale, Brightwood, and Weaver's Fen. There are a ton of other resources along this route, li꧅ke iron, silk, and pretty much anything 🤪else.
