New World's very first update has arrived, and some of the changes it brings with it might ease up those queue times a little more.

Amazon's New World finally arrived at the end of last month and while there are a fair few bugs that need to be ironed out, there is one bigger problem overshadowing them all. The game is more popular than Amazon anticipated. On launch day, 🍃168澳洲幸运5开奖网:queues to get into New World were hours 🙈long. The number of 🍨available servers has been double🌱d since then, but you'll still probably have to wait a while to get onto one.

After potentially having to wait hours to play, it makes sense that some players would leave the game running to stop for ♛lunch or run out for 20 minutes. Frustrating for those waiting in long queues who could have been using that time to actually play. Amazon has attempted to remedy that somewhat by reducing the amount of time players can be AFK before getting the boot.

, which is New World's first, has reduced the time between going AFK and being removed from the server to 20 minutes. It was previously 25. The warning letting you know your removal is imminent will now appear after 15 minutes instead of 20. Getting rid of anyone who isn't actually playing will hopefully make those queues a little bit shorter.

The update has also reduced the chance of you leaving the queue accidentally. It happens to the best of us and after queuing for three hours only to leave and return seconds later to be told your wait is now longer than it was to begin with can be soul-destroying. A prompt will now appear letting you know that you're about to leave the queue which will hopefully be enough to stop you from doing so by accident.

Despite its teething problems, New World continues to be a hit for Amazon. Its concurrent player count has peaked at over 700,000 every single day since it launched, hitting a hig♑h of almost one million players on Sunday. Amazon will need to keep adding servers to bear the heavy load, and also continue to find other tweaks that might reduce the wait to play the game.
