New World's player base has halved since it launched, which is potentially a little worrying for Amazon.

There was a lot of hype for Amazon's New World during the build to its launch. Lucky for Amazon, that hype didn't die down 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:despite a handful of delays to the game's arrival. People weren't even deterred by reports that the game was bricking graphics cards during its beta test. There have been murmurs of that hဣappening since the full launch too, although Amazon claims to have patched what might have been causing the problem all the way b𝓡aꦆck in July.

Despite its initial popularity, New World certainly isn't free of issues. Completely normal for a constantly-evolving MMO, but it would appear a lot of those who were excited about playing New World a month ago have already left the game.

New-World-(30)

reported that New World's concurrent player count around the time of its launch was just shy of one million players. Fast forward to now and that concurrent peak has dropped to less than half. According to , New World has been losing regular players at a rate of 135,000 people per week. Not the worst thing in the world for a game with a story that comes to an end, but a worrying sign for an MMO that is supposed to keep players invested for the long haul.

Amazon has been putting out fires left and right since New World's launch. The first, and arguably biggest, was that too many people wanted to play. New World's servers simply weren't big or plentiful enough which resulted in some players queuing for hours just to play the game. Perhaps now half of those players are gone, in addition to Amazon's attempts to remedy the problem, queues will now be almost non-existent.

New World also has 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a pretty major economic problem. Unlike other MMOs which usually have to figure out how to counteract rapid inflation, New World has a deflation problem. The amount of currency players can earn doesn't balance all too well with what they're having to spend on taxes, property, and other necessities. That has resulted in the cost of non-essential goods dropping. If a solution isn't integrated, the cost of items will continue to drop as players remain unwilling to spend their money.
