A new week means a new recap on the new goings on in New World. Remember all those bans that were handed out for no reason? Well, they're not a problem if you can just unban yourself. Why stop there? Is your coin pouch feeling a bit light? Just double it!

The most important thing this week however, is the fact that the devs have addressed the game's many problems and have committed to fixing them - hopefully that means future round-ups will be less focused on the bugs and more focused on the game.

New World Devs Admit There's A Whole Lot Wrong With The Game Right Now

It doesn't take much to notice that Amazon's New World has a lot of problems. In a bid to be "more transparent and communicate more frequently", the devs took to the game's forum to discuss the various issue🐷s that have ⛄been plaguing players. Fortunately, it wasn't just a ‘we know and we're working on it’ kind of post, but rather a detailed breakdown of why things were going wrong and how they intend on fixing it.

It included everything from the initial server space issues, to the broken economy, client and server authority simulation, moderation, war, and a lot more. Grab yourself a snack before you start reading - it's a long one.

New World Glitch Allows Players To Unban Themselves

A number of New World players have been leveraging the game's many glitches to give themselves an unfair advantage for a while now, and have found a few helpful exploits to get around anything - even punishment for using said exploits. The devs have been handing out bans to these players while they figured out ways to fix the glitches, but it turns out that isn't enough. Some determined players 168澳洲幸运5开༒奖网:figured out a way to get themselves unbanned.

Two fairly simple exploits allowed players to reverse their bans almost immediately. The first one involved using Steam Family Sharing and just playing the game using a different account, and the other method was simply changing your Steam account's email address. Those are some gaping loopholes right there.

New World Won't Rollback Or Wipe Servers To Fix The Economy

It's not just the real world's economy that's in tatters, but New World's too. The game's economy is currently swamped in mass deflation, resulting in players resorting to a barter system rather than paying gold. Amazon has a lot of work to do in order to fix this, but thankfully i🐼t will not involve rolling back or wiping servers. The devs are adamant on this and confirmed it via a post in the game's forum.

New World Disables All Wealth Transfers Amid Player Gold Duping Glitch

Considering how messed up the economy is, it's not surprising that players figured out a glitch that would allow them to duplicate armor, gold, and items on transferred characters. It's unclear how exactly this glitch works, but in an attempt to curb it, the developers put a temporary stop to character transfers. It seems that wasn't enough as Amazon later ✨announced that it will ban all kinds of🐻 wealth transfers till the exploit was fixed.

"We are aware of a possible gold duplication exploit that has been circling and we are tempo💫rarily disabling all forms of wealth transfer between players (ie. sending currency, guild treasury, trading post, player 🌄to player trading)," wrote a community manager on the forum.

New World's Playerbase Is Less Than Half Of What It Was At Launch

This shouldn't be surprising, given all the things you've read up until now. New World exploded onto the scene, quickly rising up the Steam charts. While it's pretty normal for a player count to reduce after the initial launch window, being cut by half is alarming, especially for an MMO.

The number stood at just under one million players during the launch period, and was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:brought down to half as of last week. According to the stats, New World was losing 135,000 people per week. Looks like it wasn't the promised land everyone hoped it would be.
