New World's launch was a successful mess. The MMO actually had 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:more players thඣan it knew what to do with, which was good news for Amazon, but bad news for anyone who wanted to start playing. Due to this, players were told to just join whatever server they could get themselves into, as they would be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:allowed to change later for free given the circumstances.

Now, it appears that this pledge wasn't the whole truth. Despite the New World Twitter account they would be able to change locations, the server transfer feature only allows you to switch to another within the same region, possibly leaving friends permanently separated.

In an a community manager outlined the process of switching servers. However, fans were quick to note that the wording of the update contradicts a previous statement on regions. Yesterday's blog post reads: "You can move your character to any world in your region." Yet back on September 28, a Twitter post claimed: "Yes, you can move between regions if you want", in response to a player asking if they could move from playing in the US to the EU.

The community response has been overwhelmingly negative. , Reddit user Pmoney98 says, "I’ve progressed very far with the intent of keeping up with my friends and migrating to their server. Now I have no motivation to redo everything I’ve done. But I have no choice if I want to play with friends. I don’t know if I will bother, frankly." Others agree, with another response saying "It looks like I'll have to abandon my level 41 with nearly everything levelled then. This hurts."

While this is a blow for day-one players, those coming to the game for the first time now should fare much better. As we recently reported, the amount of servers in New World𒁏 has more than doubled since its launch, meaning you shouldn't face the long queues that dominated the news around launch.

New World is available exclusively on PC. I🉐t launched September 28.
