Nexomon: Extinction is the next game to take on the phenomenon that is Pokemon, which isn’t necessarily as crazy as it seems, given the success of other copycat games having relative success in their own right - such as the surprisingly successful title, Temtem, that r🃏eleased for PC via Steam Early Access early this year.

Nexomon: Extinction boasts a return to “classic monster-catching” while offering a “wider choice” than what players might be used to in terms of the starting companion that players can select at the beginning of the adventure (which is clearly a not-so-subtle dig at the limited selection of starting companions in the Pokemon games).

At any rate, the nine starter Nexomon that will a🌠vailable to players were recently announced in a brand-new trailer as the game moves ever closer to its summer 2020 release date.

Here they are, presಌented in no particular order (𒁃other than maybe cuteness-level).

Dinja - Element: Normal

Dinja 🌳looks like a long-haired corgi that may one day grow up to be a wolf. What’s even more amazing? Thanks to Dinjas&🍨rsquo; short legs, rather than running, they move by hopping.

Mara - Element: Plant

Mara resembles a leafy version of a triceratops, and uses 🌞its intelligence and charm du🔜ring battle.

Trebly - Element: Mineral

Trebly uses the d🌠urability of its horn to headbutt its competition.

Mearn - Element: Wind

Generally found on prairies and mountain skirts, a descr⛄iption of Mearns indicate that they “are not as friendly as they look.” This makes sense given its feline appearance, while Mearns use their tail to create wind to entrap its enemies.

Masquiti - Element: Psychic

Masquiti posseses an obscure sense of humor that is likely driven by its psychic element (along with its interesting face.

Flume - Element: Fire

Flume is not one of the more cuddly Nexomon, as the majority of its f🧸eatures are engulfed in flames.

Behilda - Element: Ghost

Behilda - which looks very similar to Masquiti - u🍸ses its detachable head to scare opponents and can most often be found in darker 🐬areas.

Gekoko - Element: Electric

Very similar to its namesake, Gekoko can 🍬stick to places others may not be able to reach, and generally like to remain hidden as they curiously survey the scene.

Noki - Element: Water

Noki is 🦩an amphibious flying Nexomon that exudes self-confidence and loyalty.

Playeꦉrs will have quite a selection of starter Nexomon to choose from when the game hits later this summer.
