Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's devs have thrown some shade at their Super Smash Bros. counterparts, speaking on how much they plan to listen to their player base.

Today is Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's release day. It is also the day Nintendo announces the finaꦕl fight𓆉er coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Considering how similar the two games are, it feels as if it can't be a coincidence those two things are happening on the same day. There's also bound to be plenty of comparing and contrasting when it comes to reporting the two.

In fact, the devs themselves have been doing some comparing. A couple of All-Star Brawl's developers sat down with Melee pro and effectively called out Nintendo for not listening to Smash fans during the interview. Markus Villalobos did so while explaining how All-Star Brawl's team plans on paying close attention to player feedback.

“We have the perspective of both the developer and the gamer, because we play a lot of Smash games in the past and we know how it feels to not be listened to by the developer,” Villalobos said. Smash Ultimate's DLC fighters have been criticized in the past, as have Nintendo's updates and reluctance to let players mod the game.

Villalobos's fellow All-Star Brawl developer Thaddeus Crews even mentions Slippi, a tool used by players of older Smash games such as Melee that allows them to be played on a competitive level more easily, as well as other things. Nintendo is not a fan of Smash players using Slippi, even closing down tournaments that use mods as r🅠ecently as this past summer. Crews labels the tool “inspiring”, adding that they see it as 🎐the standard All-Star Brawl should be aiming for.

While the devs above and the rest of the team at Ludosity won't want All-Star Brawl to be little more than a Smash Ultimate knockoff, the new game has been praised for how alike the two titles are. It is still very early days, but All-Star Brawl might have more staying power than it was initially given credit for. 168෴澳洲幸运5开奖网:It is currently a best-seller on Steam, 🌱even outselling the incredibly popular New World i🅠n some regions.
