The 90s animation gods have smiled kindly upon us in the past y🐠ear. Not only did we get t🔜he “critically-acclaimed” gem, Garfield Kart: Furious Racing, we’ll soon also get another round of kart racing action with our favorite stars from the ౠNickelodeon network.

Touted as “the slime event of the year,” Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix will be making its way to Nintendo Switch this October f🦋or Play𒀰Station 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

To celebrate the announcement, a game trailer was release๊d showing off in-race footage, i꧅ncluding the game’s various slime-lined tracks and playable characters, while mentioning that online play will also be available.

Our favorite Nicktoons wiꦡll be 💫back in their karts, some of whom include Arnold (Hey, Arnold!), Heifer (Rocko’s Modern Life), Tommy Pickles (Rugrats), Stimpy (The Ren & Stimpy Show), the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and (of course) Spon🔴geBob, Patrick, and Squidward. In addition, the game will add characters from newer Nickelodeon series, such as Aang and Korra from Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, as well as JoJo from JoJo Siwa.

The original Nickelodeon Kart Racers released back in late 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Sw🎀itch, but - - didn’t exactly hit well with gamers, with an average rating of 4🤪4 across platforms.

So why, then, would now be the time to release a sequel to a game that wasn’❀t well-received in the first place? Perhaps the hope is that Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix will ride on the coattails of SpongeBob SquarePants🤪: Battle for Bikini Bott꧃om - Rehydrated when it releases later this month. Or mayꦦbe - and prob𒐪ably very likely - Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 is coming at a time when parents have been trying to keep their kids 𒐪entertained without any breaks for multiple months now, so any distraction (in this case, coming in the form of♏ a video game) will be a welcomed one.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix is slated to release this𒁏 October and will be rated E for Everyone for mild cartoon viol🐭ence.
