Streamer Nickmercs has revealed he will not be leaving Twitch, signing a new deal that will keep him streaming exclusively on the platformꦚ.

The streamer shuffle appears to have started back up again with a couple of big names signing exclusive deals last month. Nickmercs has made that three, but the very popular Twitch personality's new deal is a little different. He has revealed he won't be going anywhere, signing a long-term deal that will keep him tied to Twitch for the foreseeable future.

Neither the exact length nor how much the deal is worth has been revealed. However, it's probably safe to assume that Twitch, which is owned by Amazon, has given Nickmercs a lot of money to convince him to stick around. The streamer has 28,000 subscribers on the platform, making him one of the most-watched people on Twitch.

There's also the not-so-small matter of other big-time streamers signing exclusivity deals elsewhere. Dr Lupo and Tim The Tatman b🌳oth signed deals with YouTube Gaming within days of each other last month. Both huge gets for YouTube and big losses for Twitch. The Amazon-owned platform will have wanted tౠo prove it still has the sway to keep🐻 big names on side and has done that by locking down Nickmercs.

Streamers have refrained from switching platforms as much recently following what was a pretty major reshuffle a couple of years ago. Ninja made the first big splash by leaving Twitch and making big money to stream exclusivel🐠y on Mixer. Microsoft giving up on Mixer since then is one of the reasons why the waters have been reꦰlatively quiet for a while. Now it seems YouTube i♒s intent on disturbing those waters once again.

Nickmercs signed 🦩an exclusivity deal with Twitch💖 almost two years ago to the day, which implies that was a two-year contract that needed to be renewed. It also might mean this newest deal is also two years in length, which means he now can't jump to YouTube until at least 2023. Good news for Twitch, and since he has been so loyal to the platform until now, it seems likely he'll stick around beyond that too.
