Square Enix will hit Steam servers soon. The patch "will apply fixes that allow the game to run at a stable frame rate of 60 FPS," which is great news for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nier Replicant players that have been suffering through dropped frame⛎s, stuttering animations, and bizarre slowdowns during certain sections of the game.
However, there's a bit of a problem with the patch that Square Enix is quite aware of. PC players are a resourceful lot, and when a good game arrives on Steam as a bad port, modders take over for the developer to fix their game. Rather than 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:possibly waiting years for Square Enix to fix Replicant as they did with Nier: Automata, modders took it upon themselves to release fixes on𒐪 their own to improve Replicant's PC performance.
Those mods✃ included removing the 60 FPS cap, smoothing out the game's frame rate, and fixing that annoying animation stutter.
This time though, Replicant is getting a fix much sooner than Automata, and Squareღ Enix is warning users that are playing with mods that patch 1.0.3 won't play nice with those mods, and especially if you're playing with uncapped frames.
"The technical specifications for this titlꦑe do not guarantee correct operation at over 60Hz," Square Enix warns, "and there is a bug in the code which leads to the game running at a higher than intended speed if 60Hz is exceeded."
The upcoming p💦atch guarantees a stable 60 FPS, but going higher than that can cause the game to feel like it's being played faster than intended. On the other hand, several mods that disable the 💦in-game v-sync have already been doing that, and the upcoming patch will return Replicant to the "original speed envisaged by the developers."
Furthermore, if you're using a G-sync or FreeSync monitor with a refresh rate higher than 60Hz, Square Enix recommends playing Replicant in full-screen mode after the patch drops. Or barring that, you can just drop your monit🍒or's refresh rate back down to 60Hz. Those playing Replicant on a TV probably won't need to worry about it as most TVs run at 60Hz.
If you're already playing with mods and you'dꦓ prefer to keep your version of Replicant unpatched, you can always turn off automatic updates or to disable patch 1.0.3's fixes. Square Enix didn’t say when patch 1.0.3 would be coming, but it’s likely to drop soon.
