The latest NieR Re[in]carnation trailer shows off what might be turn-based combat along with a story that is as opaque as most NieR games.

NieR is making the jump to mobile. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:First announced in March, game director Yoko Taro said he's trying to shake up the mobile gaming scene by adding his very special flavor to mobile goulash. He also said he doesn't necessarily care about making money as much as he does making a NieR 💙game work on the mobile platform. And also making it look pretty, of course.

The first trailer was mostly weird music and a bunch of walking around showing off NieR Re[in]carnation's stark but𝄹 beautiful environments. Now we have a new trailer that reveals🅘 the game's combat and maybe even some of the plot. Maybe.

What we know is that there's a nameless female pﷺrotagonist with pigtails that is constantly followed bꦏy a little ghost called "Mama." She's exploring locations called "cages" while searching for... something. There's also a few other characters that seemed to be featured in the 2D sections of the trailer, but we have no idea who they are or if that's even gameplay. It could've just been a cutscene.

The combat is equally mysterious. It looks like it's pretty standard turn-based combat with icons representing character actions, but it might include some real-time elements as well. The combat scenes were unfortunately too short for us to delve deeper into NieR Re[in]carnation's mechanics.

The trailer also reveals a closed beta test that will take place from July 29th to August 5th. Signups are open now via the and run until July 26. Notifications will be sent out on July 28th with details to be posted on ༺. About 20,000 total applications will be selected to take part in the 🍰closed beta test, with 10,000 on iOS and the other 10,000 on Android.

It's also only open to Japanese residents, so෴ if you're not living in Japan, don't bother.

NieR Re[in]carnation will be free-to-play with in-game loot box-style mechanics that you pay for. There's no rele🌼ꦦase date yet, and we haven't gotten any confirmation of a Western localization either. But there's some translation in the latest trailer, so here's hoping.
