Nier is chosen to become The Shadowlord. The one Gestalt who is able to control the others. It is unclear why or how Nier is able to avoid relapsing. It is also unclear why he is the one who can control other humans' Gestalts. All that is known is that he becomes the Shadowlord because ꦍhe is the chosen one to do so.
The game does not spend a ꧅lot of time specifying what makes Nier special in that regard. it is also not very clear why others became Gestalts when using the book but Nier 🅺became a powerful warrior instead.

By the end of Nier Replicant, Yonah is saved from the Shadowlord but is not cured.

The whole plot of Nier Replicant only exists becꦚause humanity was trying to find a s🅷olution for the White Chlorination Syndrome, which started after the events of Drakengard. This was either turning people into salt or making them become part of a god's Legion in his quest to conquer earth. Although there are indications that the Legion is gone, it is not like players are thoroughly explained how that happened.

The Red Boo♑k, another name for Rubrum, was meant to be a complimentary book to both Grimoire Noir and Grimoire Weiss. However, it is not explained what that means.
The Red Book cannot speak and does𝓀 not seem to be needed by either Weiss or Noir. That makes it very confusing for players to understand what was the intent behind Rubrum's creation.

Theoretically, Ending E would be the canonical ending. That would be the case because it is the ending that was included in other media way before it was included in Nier Replicant's Remaster. However, if that is the case, ꦚdoes that mean that the Shadowlord and Gestalt Yonah are never reunited?
