While originally meant to be an MMORPG, developers decided to focus more on survival rather than a strong narrative, allowing you to create your own storyline. Perhaps because of that shift in development, some aspects of Nightingale require some explanation or polish.

8 💖 Is It Lore Or Just A Random Tub

The Fae Realms of Nightingale are known for the various ruins and structures generated throughout. As you explore, you’ll come upon important points of interest (like Sites of Power or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Puzzle Cores), remnants of structures, and statues.

As you explore, you may even come across random furniture that’s been overgrown with time. While an elegant dining tab🍷le and chairs might put images of fanciful Fae dinner parties in your head, seeing a claw tub (and even a toilet) might bring up some questions. Mainly, “why?”

Of course, you could argue that these furniture items were once part of a structure, but it's more disconcerting when there are no former walls or overgrown foundations to be found in the area.

7 The Age-Old Debate: Pots Vs. Plo🎉ts

Realistically, there’s not much difference between pots and plant boxes (often referred to as plant plots) in terms of seed growth efficiency. They have the same function, but pots take up far less space, leaving you with plenty of room toꦕ place down Augmentations. A common complaint in the Nightingale community is the lack of inventor෴y that either has, limiting you to one seed at a time.

Up until Patch 0.1.1., seed growth was inconsistent in either structure, with some seeds not even working at aꦦll. Thanks to the patch, however, seed growth is a little more reliable and efficient. There’s a lot to be desired for farming if Nightingale aims to be a genre favorite in the long term, but hope can be had that improvements are to come.

6 Keep Calm And Trust In Puck ෴

For fans of Shakespeare or English folklore, Nightingale’s NPC guide should be familiar. Puck, a character known from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, is known for being a mischievous fairy or jester who influences events in the play. There’s plenty of lore behind Pღuck’s history and origin, but to summarize, how can we simply trust a character who speaks in vague rhymes and riddles?

Another name for Puck is 🔯Robin Goodfellow. This name is referenced by NPC P♛uck in one of his opening monologues.

While other well-known historical and fictional NPCs can be found throughout the Realms, Puck is a constant reminder that there’s a main quest line to follow. In folklore, Puck is known to change form on a whim, which could lead to an interesting storyline in the future. So, next time you encounter Puck, pay attention to his tone and see how ꦦyou feel about being called a “friend.”

5 Geaܫr Score Is Confusing

Considering that gear score is one of the most important stats in the game, you’d think it’d be a little clearer. Especially since some areas are only available when you reach a certain gear score. As you explore, craft, and gain experience with Nightingale, you’ll certainly gain an understanding, but this is a game with minimal hand-holding for new player💦s.

Gear score is the average of equipped armor and the item in your main hand. That means that when you scroll to different tools or weapons in your hotbar, your score changes. If you’re not careful, you could accidentally enter a higher Site of Power than you’re prepared for and end up struggling to survive because you were holding a𒉰⭕n upgraded maul.

4 🌳 Creatures Lack The Recognition They Deserve 𒅌

There are plenty of codex and journal entries in Nightingale to keep you informed on the story and gameplay elements of the game. However, ▨the mystical and intriguing creatures found throughout the Realms lack information and lore surrounding them.

From pastel bears to walking trees, there’s plenty to talk about with the creatures of Nightingale. While some creatures are based on folklore or real-life animals, others seem🅰 to be unique to Nightingale.

The Brippo, for example, are amphibious creatures found in Swamp Realms. The Carnute is a large Realm Spirit that wanders through the Realms and replenishes resources. It’s also called a ‘demon deer’ and ignores you most oꦅf the time. As you explore, you may even come upon ov♍ergrown creature skulls that only make the Fae Realms more intriguing.

3 Survivor 🐎Recruits Need Character Growth

For those who enjoy playing solꦐo or don’t have anyone to play Nightingale with, recruitin🥀g survivors is a useful feature. However, these survivors could use some polishing. While not all Early Access games can have helpful NPCs as great as Kelvin in Songs of the Forest, the survivors of Nightingale are meant to help Realmwalkers gather resources, fight off enemies, and build their estates.

The survivors don’t seem to have a weight limit, making it great to offload player inventories during exploration. They can aid and revive players in combat, which is really their strongest feature. However, survivors lack personality, skills, 💯and versatility. While they don’t need to be fully fleshed-out characters, it’d be nice for them to have positive and negative stats, even depending on 🎃their origin factions.

While you can put various tools and weapons in a survivor’s inventory, they won’t auto-equip them, nor are t🍌hey able to have a tool and weapon equipped at the same time. This means you have to be mindful of what resources they want and remember to switch out their recruit’s equipped item. That being said, survivors are great to haveꦆ around but certainly have some growing to do.

2 💃 Lineage Is Just Cosmetic ♏

No matter the genre, character customization is often a high priority for players. That’s no different for Nightingale. In character customization, you can create a version of yourself set in a Victorian-Steampunk era. Unlike other games in the survival genre, they don’t rely on sliders to fine-tune𒆙 appearance.

The Ancestry tab of Nightingale boasts a family tree or Lineage feature. You can fill 🎶in grandparents and a parent for each side of the family with preset appearances. From there, you can fine-tune inherited appear♓ance based on those choices. Do you want to look more like one parent over the other?

It sounds more complicated than it is, but it does make you ask if it's really worth the effort when you can just fine-tune your character’s features anyway. Who you choose in the Lineage also doesn’t affect the gameplay or storyline, so it's truly just a cosmetic feature for those wanting personal character lore.

This lack of effect on gameplay also applies to the character's story and background.

1 Let The Dog🎃s Be Free

For a limited time, a set of aristocratic drops were available on Twitch. A D🌼isꦦtinguished Puppy was unlocked after eight hours of watch time. As adorable as a dachshund in a top hat is, it’s disappointing that only one player can summon their pet at a time while in a multiplayer Realm.

Pets have yet to be formally announced for Nightingale, and it's most likely that the Distinguished Puppy is a test run for the developers. While players can share Realms and create their own Estates and resources with their friends, they have to fight over whose dog gets fresh air.
