How To Get Refined Workbench
The Refined Workbench is a tier two crafting station, and an upgraded version of the Simple Workbench. Getting this workbench will allow you to add more augmentations and craft more recipes.
In order to craft the Refined Workbench, you need to find the schematics for it first. The only way to get the schematics for the Refined Workbench is to purchase it from an Essence Trader in a Provisioner Realm.
To enter a Provisioner Realm, you'll first need to unlock the Provisioner Realm Card. To unlock this, visit the Provisioner Site of Power, then defeat the boss guarding the mechanism on the final floor of the tower. You'll get the schematic for the realm card after releasing the Hope Echo stored there.
Once you get the schematics for the Refined Workbench, you'll need to build it on your base. The materials you need for this crafting station are four pieces of lumber, one mechanical gear, and one carved wood.
When picking a spot for your Refined Workbench, make sure to build it in a spot that gives it the most positive traits.

When picking a spot for your Refined Workbench, you need to ensure that you have enough space around it to place augmentations.
What Can You Build On A Refined Workbench
Building a Refined Workbench will enable you to raise your gear score to 50. This will allow you to progress to the Herbarium Realm, as the Herbarium Site of Power requires a gear score of 50 before you can enter.
The gear that you can build on a Refined Workbench will be refined tools, weapons, and clothing. Not only that, once you get this crafting station, you'll be able to craft firearms once you find the schematics for them.
The refined workbench unlocks several recipes:
- Aristocratic Umbrella
- Pioneer's Umbrella
- Refined Hunting Knife
- Refined Mining Pick
- Refined Sickle
- Refined Watering Can
- Refined Wood Axe
- Ritual Seed Nursery
There are a lot more recipes that can be unlocked by the Refined Workbench, but in order to unlock them, you'll need to build augmentations nearby.
Take note that you won't be able to build certain gear on your Refined Workbench without first unlocking them by purchasing the schematics from an Essence Trader or by discovering it while exploring the Fae Realms.
How To Use Augmentations On A Refined Workbench
Augmentations are structures that you can build next to workbenches in order to unlock new crafting recipes.
Take note that augmentations need to be in the line of sight of a crafting stationಌ in order for its benefits to be applied.
A Refined Workbench has seven slots for augmentations, after which any additional augmentations built will no longer have an effe🧜ct on the workbench.
Well Lit is listed as an augmentation, but it won't take up an augmentation slot.
