The Coliseum was once Hyrule’s largest entertainment facility. During the tragic event of the Great Calamitꦬy, it was a place that sustained reasonable damage and was taken over by Malice. It is currently inhabited by a single Lynel and various kinds of monsters.

It is not known why the Coliseum suffered so much damage as it was a place for entertainment, where events were hosted so that Hylians could show off their strength. Perhaps Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will be able to provide some answers.
