So, the holidays are super important to Nintendo. Over-half-of-their-annual-revenue important, making that season෴ a crౠitically important one for the company.

As all 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch fans will know, the plucky little hybrid handheld has been doing great things, sales-wise. Way back in late January this year, 💫it surpassed the Wii U’s lifetime🍨 sales figures around the world. Come September, it was closing in on the lifetime sales of the PlayStation 4 (in Japan🔯).

One thing that hasn’t looked all that hot this year is the games lineup itself. It’s been a quiet 2018 for the Switch, with the likes of Mario Tennis Aces (which was very barebones and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a little broken on laun♏ch, balance-๊wise) and Octopath Traveler representing the cream of the crop.

Fortunately, the system is going to finish the year off on a super-high note, with the one-two punch of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros. Ultimate set to be Nintendo’s big-ticket items this holiday seaso🍸n. They’re going to have to perform well because as Nintendo of America has revealed, the holiday season is absolutely vital to the company.

As reports, NOA’s Reggie Fils-Aime recently had a candid talk w෴ith about just how important our holiday gꦕift money is.

“The holiday selling season — October, November, and December — [are] critically importan☂t to our company. We typically do, in the Americas, about 60% o🎐f our revenue during that time frame,” he stated.

This isn’t unusual for any entertainment-based company, of course (this just in: toy stores sell a lot around Christmas), and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation and Xbox would probably tell a very similar story. It’s just a s🍎urprising number to think about.

In Nin൲tendo’s case specifically, the family-friendly nature of their systems and games is a huge plus. As Reggie himself puts it, “The reason that it’s so significant is first, our products make great gifts.”

Those big holiday releases are already making a big impression. Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee broke a new first-week sales record for🥀 thꦏe Switch, while Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is ꦡbreaking ridiculous pre-order records of its own. Any number of these purchases, of course, could well find themselves under Christmas trees arou🦹nd the world in a few short weeks.

However you feel about the Switch’s performance over the course of 2018, it doesn’t look like there can be any doubt that🅷 it’s going to be Happy Holidays over at Nintendo this year. Happy Holidays indeed!
