Nintendo has 💯confirmed that their belꦐoved Italian plumber will be returning to the big screen.

Remember the original Super Mario Bros. movie? Remember how bad it was? And how Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo had absolutely no chemistry and Mario and 🐬Luigi weren’t even b🦹rothers?

Well, Nintendo is doing it again, only🅠 this time it’ll be all done in CG.

Thursday that they’ll be partnering with Illuminat🐻ion Entertainment, the same guys behind the Despicable Me and Minions movies, to once again bring Mario to the big scre💜en. Only this tim🐼e he’ll retain his shape from Super Mario Odyssey. Hopefully.

Mario creator and Nintendo Representative Shigeru Miyamoto is listed as one producer, while Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri is liste❀d as the other.

There’s no release date yet and no word on who will play t𝄹he voice of Mario, although it really should remain Charles Martinet, the long-time Mario voice actor. ⭕Much like replacing Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter with some Hollywood schmuck, tossing Charles-Martinet for an equally schmucky Hollywood type would be a disastrous move.
