Nintendo has wholeheartedly embraced indie and third-party developers during the Switch era, which was prompted by the vast empty spaces in the Wii U's schedule throughout its lifespan. The Switch has become an indie darling machine, with the portable nature of the system making it the number one choice for consumers when compared to home consoles. Nintendo has been dedicating🃏 entire Directs to indie games coming to the Switch, with events that are usually decent, if not exactly pa𓆉cked with mind-blowing reveals.
There has been a lot of concern from Nintendo fans about a lack of games for the rest of 2020, as Pikmin 3 Deluxe is the only major release with a solid date. It seems that Nintendo is finally ready to spill the beans, however, as a video for the next Indie World Direct has appearܫed on the Nintendo UK YouTube channel. The only information revealed about the short showcase is that it will last for roughly twenty minutes and will focus on indie games. This means that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Switch port that leaked on Amazon UK yesterday likely won't be appearing.
