There has been another huge leak of early Nintendo games, as prototypes for games like Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, Star Fox, Star Fox 2, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and a previously never before seen Donkey Kong game for Super Nintendo that eventually morphed into Yoshi's Island have all found their way online.
There have been Nintendo leaks dating back to 2018, when the demo version of Pokémon Gold & Silver from Space World '97 made its way online, revealing tons of unused Pokémon designs. This was followed by a leak of Pokémon Red & Green, revealing one of the earliest iterations of the games. The most recent Nintendo leak involved the source code for the Nintendo Wii, as well as debug builds of Pokémon Sun & Moon.
The latest Nintendo leak might be the most interesting one yet and its findings have been collated in a post on . The leak includes early versions of a number of Super Nintendo games, including a game referred to as Super Donkey, which appears to be an early prototype for Yoshi's Island starring Stanley the Bugman from Donkey Kong 3. The leak includes beta versions of Super Mario World that contain creepy early designs of Yoshi and Luigi flipping the bird, a version of Star Fox 2 containing a human pilot, early versions of Yoshi's Island with a different child character, scratchpad graphics for another 2D Zelda game in the vein of Zelda II, and assets for SuperFX chip games with models for Link and Yoshi. A beta version of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl is there with some early character designs and placeholders for the Gym badges. There is also an early SGI version of Mario Kart 64 that used the sprites from Super Mario Kart to test the tracks.
