Nintendo won't be satisfied until it monitors every part of your day, as a patent has been filed for a new device that can detect the biological funct💃i🎐ons of users as they sleep.
Nintendo is the leading company when it comes to bizarre peripherals, some of which went on to become some of its most beloved accessories. The company spent years promoting a sensor for the Nintendo Wii that clipped on to the player's finger, which could detect things like heart rate and pulse in order to monitor them, but it was never released. A similar premise is used in the recent Ring-Fit Adventure, so it's clear that Nintendo never truly abandons these ideas, but will sometimes just kick them up the road and include them i🌼n future devices.
It seems that Nintendo is keen to know the sleeping habits of its fan base, as a patent has come to light for a device that will monitor the player's sleep. According to , the device will connect to a mobile phone that can detect things about a person who is sleeping nearby. This will likely use an app 🗹🍒that is required for the phone to connect to the base unit.
The 💙device will be able to tell how long it takes for the player to fall asleep, how long it takes for them to get out of bed, t🌊he REM sleep cycle, how long they stay asleep, how many times they wake up throughout the night, and how loud they snore. It functions by detecting what is going on through the phone's camera or microphone, which can determine shifts in the player's face and breathing.
This device seems to resemble an upcoming app developed by The Pokémon Company, called Pokémon Sleep, which will detect how well the player rests with the aid of the Pokémon Go Plus+ accessory. It's important to note that the patent doesn't necessarily mean thatꦓ Nintendo will release the device, as there have been similar pateꦫnts filed in the past that never came to fruition.
