Cats have their unique strengths and skills in real life, and Game Freak does a decent job of translating the power of cats into the Pokémon formula of battling, whether it be literal claw-slashing or a more elemental/mental form of power. This list will be ranking the ten strongest Pokémon with undeniable cat origins, based not just on their base stat totals but the cumulative package they offer on a Pokémon team. 10 Alolan Persian 🐬
Most well-known for being Giovanni's lap cat in the Pokémon anime, Persian is unfortunately outclassed by its Alolan form, introduced in Generation VII's Alola regioꦛn. ꧋Its new Dark typing allows access to useful moves such as Parting Shot and Nasty Plot, as well as Dark Pulse.

Luxray's wide array of abilities make it a solid choice in battle, especially the ability Guts, which will multiply attacking power by 1.5 if Luxray has a major status condition.
Luxray has a surprising lack of Speed for being an Electric-type cat, having the bulk of its stats in its Attack stat. This makes it crucial to have Physical Electric-type moves such as Wild Charge, as well as 🍌moves like Superpower to be able to attack Ground-types.
6 Pyroar
A base stat total of 507, Pyroar is the spitting image of a Lion, with both the Speed and Special Attack stats to back up its burning rage. Pyroar evolves frওom Litleo starting at level 35 and makes use of strong Special Attacking moves such as Fire Blast and Solar Beam very well.

This electrifying cat Pokémon has the lightning speed which Luxray lacks, while also capturing💫 the stylish aesthetic of black, blue, and yellow.
Possessing the legend-worthy base stat total of 600, Zeraora has a ridiculous 140 base Speed accompanied by 112 base Attack and utilizes both stats expertly with its signature move, Plasma Fists. Its versatility with attacking moves makes i🐷t an excellent option for offensive teams.
1 Solgaleo
Solgaleo is undeniably powerful, as mo𓄧st legendaries are; it wouldn't fit well on the cover of a Pokémon game otherwise! With a whopping 680 base stat total, Solgaleo can decimate opponents with its signature move Sunsteel Strike, while never suffering any stat-lowering moves due to its epic ability, Full Metal Body. It also has Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Wild Charge in its arsenal, making it unpredictably dangerous.
This fierce creature is thankfully obtainable in Pokémon Sword & Shield, though it must be obtained☂ by evolving Cosmog instead of being caught like in Generation VII.
