The newest generation of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon games may have done little in the way of innovation and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:adding new features, but one of the few that is relatively well-received by fans is the addition of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Max Raid battles. Found in the other new addition to🎀 the series, the Wild Area, these glowing dens allow the players to engage in some mini-boss battles of sorts while also giving them access to otherwise hard to find Pokémon🎃.
Pretty much every Pokémon in the game can be found in one den or another, with only a few exceptions. However, not all Max Raids are created equal, and many of them either grant par🎐ticularly powerful Pokémon or give rewards that are superior to many other raids.
10 Hitmontop
Tyrogue, having three different evolutions based on which of its stats are highest, can be a real pai🎶n in the butt to evolve into the Pokémon players actually want, particularly if they want Hitmontop.
While the process of evolving Tyro♉gue is much easier once access to the vitamins has been unlocked, before then it's just a matter of luck on what form it will take. The Hitmontop raid solves this problem, while also granting early players a good Pokémon with Intimidate, an ability considered to be one of the best both in-game and in competitive battling.
9 Dusk Form Lycanroc ꩲ
With the addition of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Isle of Armor expansion came the return of a few old favorites, but one that is particularly difficult to come across is Ash's Dusk F💯orm Lycanroc. While finding a Rockfuff with the right ability to evolve it into this form is incredibly hard, finding a Lycanroc in a raid is significantly easier.
Near the Dark-𝔉type Challenge Tower is a Raid Den that spawns exclusively Rockruff and Lycanroc. It is one of the only places in the game where the Dusk Forme version can be found easily, as well as the Own Tempo Rockruff needed to evolve it into that form. It is far more convenient to just reset the Raid Den for this form of Lycanroc than to endlessly search for the correct ability on a Rockruff.
8 Milotic
For some reason, the Pokémon games like to make Feebas very hard to find in the mainline series, and that hasn't changed with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Sword & Shield. While it is significantly easier to evolve into a Milotic now, with players only needing to trade it while holding the Prism Scale, it's more co🔥nvenient to just win a Milotic Raid.
This is also helped by the fact that the Milotic Raid Den can be accessed as soon as the player has obtained the bike upgrade that allows them to ride over water. Conversely, the overworld encounter won't spawn until the Foggy weather has been unlocked, which doesn't 🌞happen until after the game has been beaten.
7 ܫ Talonflame
Another of the newly re-introduced Pokémon in The Isle of Armor is the regional bird for Kalos, Talonflame. During the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon X & Y era, Talonflame was a force to be reckoned with in compe𝓡titive battling due to its ama💙zing ability, Gale Wings.
While this ability has since had a power reduction, only activating when Talonf🐷lame is at full health, that doesn't detract from its usefulness. Even without Talonflame's Hidden Ability, its Flame Body ability is useful for breeding purposes, as it allows eggs to hatch faster than normal if it is in the party.
6 G🎶alarian Darmanitan
As one of the new Galarian forms, Darmanitan got a nice boost in power with its change in design and typing. Although its new Ice-type can let it down from time to time, its speed and power make it an excellent choice for both casual and competitive players, no matter which ability it has. Gorilla Tactics may be the main choice, but it's hard to look past the new Zen Mode Darmanitan, as it turns from a strange-looking icy gorilla into a flaming snowman, that also has the secondary effect of addin🌟g the Fire-type to its arsenal.
For Sword players, it can be found relatively early, if they are willing to brave a higher level Wild Area once it is opened up to the player. However, Shield players will have to hope they✨ can find one through trading.
5 🐻 Kanto Starters 𝐆
While 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Charizard may get a lot more attention, The Isle of Armor DLC brought with it the other two beloved Kanto starters, Venusaur and Blastoise. While players do get given one in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mustard's Dojo, that doesn't mean that is the only one they can find in the game. All of th♑e Kanto starters can be found in various♏ Raid Dens with both their Hidden Ability and their Gigantamax forms.
Seeing how, before 🅰the DLC was released, the Bulbasaur and Squirtle lines were only available in a timed Raid Event, it's nice to see them get some permanency now that the event is long since over.
4 Blissey
As many players may have noticed, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Chancey now roam🤡s all parts of the Isle of Armor, adding a new way they can get some serious XP points for their lower-leveled Pokémon. However, a much better way to do this comes in the form of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Blissey Raid battles, w🔥hich are also scattered through nearly all of the new Raid Dens💟.
Unlike other Raid battles, most of the rewards a Blissey will yield are XP ꦅCandy, with successful players getting five of each candy, along with a small chance to find a Lucky Egg hold i🅘tem, which boosts the amount of XP a Pokémon will receive in battle.
3 𝕴 Corviknight
A new fan favorite, Corviknight has seen a lot of love from both casual and competitive player๊s, in no small part because of its Gigantamax form, but also because of its amazing Hidden Ability, Mirror♔ Armor. With its good defensive stats coupled with its Steel/Flying-typing, Corvinkight already had a lot going for it, but Mirror Armor adds another layer of usefulness to its battling capabilities, as it reflects any stat dropping move back to the Pokémon who used it on them.
The only downside Corviknight has is that its Gigantamax form takes away its ability to use Max Airstream, one of the best Max moves ไin the game. As a replacement, it has the far inferior G-Max Wind Rage which, while useful, is too niche for most situations.
2 Mo𒆙st Gigantamax Forms
꧋While not all Gigantamax forms are created equal, and several Pokémon like Corviknight, Grimsnarl, and Drednaw benefit from not having this ability, there are many more who are made much more powerful because of their new G-Max moves.
In particular, Pokémon like Lapras and Coalossal get a huge power boost from their signature G-Max moves, making their regular Dynamax forms fairly obsolete by comparison. It also helps that Game Freak is ꦦconstantly releasing new Raid events to make some of the harder to obtain Pokémon more accessible, in particular when it comes to the Gigantamax forms.
1 Gyarados
One of the best, and also hardest, Max Raids in Pokémon Sword & Shield is for Gyarados. Specifically, Gyarados which has its Hidden Ability, Moxie, which boosts its attack stat by one stage for every Pokémon it KOs in battle. Paired with its Dynamax form and ability to use Max Airstream, potentially removing the need for players to run Dragon Dance on 🌃it, makes for a terrifyingly strong addition to anyone's team.
Unfortunately, this makes a Moxie Gyarados Raid next to impossible to complete by using the NPC Raid partners and is a difficult battle even with four real-world players. This is best attempted witꦍh a player's absolute best Electric-type Pokémon and three friends, as trainers a🎐re almost guaranteed to lose repeatedly otherwise.
