It's expected that the long-awaited 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch 2 (or whatever they decide to call it) will be revealed and release at some point this year. Rumors and comments from leakers have been piling up over the past couple of years, so much so that it would be astounding if Nintendo doesn't reveal its Switch successor in the next 12 months. Industry analysts appear to be of the same opinion.

Spea💫king with (thanks ), industry analyst Dr. Serkan Toto of Katan Games believes that the next piece of major hardware from Nintendo is nailed on to drop at some point in 2024. He also predicts that the system will be a little more expensive than the first Nintendo Switch back when it launched, coming in at around $400, with Nintendo games also expected to rise to $70, which is steadily becoming the industry norm.

A more expensive Nintendo console isn't that much of a shock, especially if it has 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:visuals on par with the PS5 and Xbox Series🐲 X like a recent report suggested.

Another one of Toto's big claims is that the next piece of Nintendo hardware will be an "iteration rather than a revolution", and will be very similar to the current Nintendo Switch with a few bells and whistles attached. That wouldn't be too surprising given the Switch's success, but it would buck Nintendo's recent trend of experimenting with their home consoles like we saw with the Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch.

Toto also claims that the next Nintendo console will continue to focus on portability, claiming that the Pokemon series being "associated with handheld gaming" is one of the main reasons. Again, you don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to predict that Nintendo will stick with the hybrid nature of its console, especially with how revolutionary it's been for the industry.

Nemona, Penny, Arven, and the player character in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

It's worth stressing that none of Toto's claims have been confirmed, and you're better off taking them as predictions rather than anything concrete. Being an industry analyst, he does know what he's talking about more than your average person, but he was wrong about certain things he claimed would happen in 2023, particularly in the crypto market. His thoughts on the gaming side of the industry were pretty spot on though, successfully predicting game and gaming subscription price increases.

Unfortunately, Toto doesn't mention anything about backwards compatibility, something that has been a constant worry among Nintendo fans for quite some time. Backwards compatibility is considered an industry standard at this point, though YouTuber Modern Vintage Gamer raised the point earlier this year that modern Switch titles🧜 could potentially be incompatible with any improved chips Ninte๊ndo uses in the next console, unless the company actively addresseꦉs the problem.
